Keeping Busy in the Lord

 Good day sisters!!!

I hope your day is going well:-) As I type this post, which I will work on through the busy day, we are currently parked on the side of a gravel road...

...waiting to fly gospel signs to those who will be leaving from an unbiblical religious service. Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, look it up HERE on a testing from brother Jim. We've had personal encounters with people from their groups in another state and the youth were wicked.  Anyway we hope someone has ears to hear and comes out.

It's about proclaiming the GOSPEL, bringing God glory and shining the light of truth to those who the Father is drawing.

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.  John 6:44

If a woman doesn't harden her heart, sear her conscience, and she begins seeking and seeing through this life and to the truth, God will draw her.  Seeds will be planted and if she allows them to be planted in deep fertile ground, new life may spring up.  Praise God!!!

So I had to stop working on this post to go stand out and it was another interesting day.  4 hours of almost 100 degree heat on a really dusty gravel road but I told brother Jim I'd rather be boiling to death in the sun, sucking up all that dust and working for the Father than sitting somewhere enjoying my life for myself. It's a small sacrifice for what He has done for me / us sisters.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.  1 John 1:7

It's all part of our reasonable service to Him, killing this flesh to serve Him, our Master who has done what He did. You can see some videos HERE from the day. I said to brother Jim that if there was a woman that is seeking and has a heart for the Lord, she'd look at me and wonder where I found dress and headcovering in the bible and seek for herself.  I know this because it happened to me, I've shared that here.  God put it in a woman and she knows something is wrong when she dresses in a way to show off her body, I know it and will stand on it until the day I die because it's called a conscience.  The Holy Spirit came to convict (among other things) and that's what He does to women in that area and we can certainly sear that if we continue in darkness and avoid it.  Anyway, I praise the Lord mightily for my sisters in Christ who biblically dress, cover their heads, submit to God's order and have a meek and quiet spirit but stand boldly on the Word without wavering! Glory to God!!!

This morning I made a video for you:-)

I am overly blessed with seeing nature videos from dear sisters and with us being in this world doing what we do...it's very heartwarming to see their life and the love they have by taking the time to share either on blogs, messenger or email.  It's greatly edifying and encouraging.   I'm also blessed by those who don't use much technology that are steadfast in their daily email encouragement, thoughts, sharing how their day is going, their Titus 2 good works and prayers.  Praise God, we sisters are rich in the truth of God and in the edification if the body of Christ.

They have a lot of wild sunflowers out west here:-).

What beauty in God's creation and then look at the back of the picture and see the wickedness of man's creation...a deceiving religious building. Yesterday I talked about the goodness and severity of God and His truth...we see goodness here doing what the Father created and the severity of sin in the background.  Christ is coming back to destroy it all and those who won't repent.  Speaking of which, we received an email from a young sister saint who shared what she was seeing in the religious body that her family goes to and I thought it might encourage you knowing that a young woman sees through the lies and deception. I will copy it out of the email and paste it here for you.

(Lutheran practices in red)

Ladies did not Ladies covered their heads

Pastor led, with some people reading / There was NO modern pastor role / all men used their gifts and offered whatever God gave them to share

This was run with people sitting in pews then Sunday school/ There is no pulpit / just a family gathering to share love and God's truth

Christmas and Easter are valued / Did not keep pagan holidays of Christmas or Easter

There was singing along with an instrument (and organ perhaps) / Would sing (acappella/no instruments that are fleshly)

Typically a Sunday meeting, unless a “special occasion” i.e. easter, christmas/ Met often not just Sunday ( Sunday is a man made way )

Extremely building-centred Met house to house having no use for religious buildings

Usually runs about 1 hour but never any more than 2 that I’ve known ofGatherings could last 1-2 hours or all day into the night

I haven’t seen any encouragement to dress in lain loose long flowing clothes in any services / Were dressed in plain loose long flowing clothes ( no adorning )

Also, there are sculptures of a cross, stained glass windows and sculptures of what people think Jesus looked / looks like. Its very suspicious to me …

Praise God for eyes to see and ears to hear.  I share such encouragement with you so you know the sister saints are out there striving from young to old.

We love our neighbor, amen sisters? Therefore we are to shine our light in our life and be ready to share the gospel with all.  I wrote a post a while back with some ministry ideas for godly women, you can see that HERE.  I know of sisters who do many of those such ministry ideas and within doing what they are capable of doing (some can do more than others and that's all good, we do what we can) they take the time to do a very important ministry and that is too encourage the saints they know.

Let's all ponder our lives and see if we are busy in the Lord or is there some time we are selfishly taking for ourselves. Meaning that we have time we could be using for the work of the kingdom of God but instead we use it on something that might not be necessary such as excess time researching topics (homestead, cooking, gardening etc) that might be good and pure but we allow it to almost become entertainment instead of fact finding and moving on.  (Praise God a sister just today shared her story how she eliminated some gardening you tube videos when she realized they were worldly.)

We must be watching for the Lord's return or our death will bring us to Him but either way it will be one or the other and let us be zealous for good works unto Him from now until then.  (A sister shared that verse above last night and this scripture picture too, thank you sister:-)

Brother Jim just did a teaching for a fellowship gathering about contention and how people accuse believers of being contentious.  Well, we are contentious against lies and heresies but contending for the truth. You can listen to it HERE as it has many awesome scripture verses to edify and strengthen you. Goes along with what we had to do today...contend for the truth against those who are contentious against it.  Brother Jim shared this verse (and many others:-) in that teaching and I really appreciated it:

For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. 2 Corinthians 13:8

Amen, if we truly are of God we will be doing all things for the truth, especially keeping busy in the Lord, working for His kingdom, striving in all truth, bringing honor and glory unto Him!

After we were done on the street (lol gravel road) we stopped for some ice and gas and brother Jim walked out with this.

Yay, an awesome cold milk and fruit bar to sooth our hot sore throats from all that dust.

We parked downtown and enjoyed our cold treat while flying signs on a busy road and then were blessed to have a fellowship gathering with some saints across the world and and afterwards I realized something....

We happened to be parked next to a bar and while nobody was there when we parked, they started filing in the early evening and I realized something...

About 14 years ago I was the one going into the bar and partying it up and today as a new creation in Christ, I was sitting outside it sharing in the truth of God.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Did you catch that sisters?

!!!ALL THINGS BECOME NEW!!!

!!ALL!!

Glory to God in the Highest!  Oh Praises to our Heavenly Father for new life in Christ! I'm forever indebted to Him and a willing bond slave until I die!

I'm no longer the wretched sinful creature, I'm a new creation in Christ.  Oh I have no words to fully express that so I will exemplify it in my life, keeping busy in the Lord and entreating others along the way!!!!!

And I have to add this Titus 2 moment in here because the old me wouldn't have cared but the new me rejoices in such simple things.  Brother Jim and I love fish (especially battered but that's a super rare treat) and we eat canned tuna and kipper snacks on crackers for quick meals.  I noticed that the kippers are not being sold at the store I liked to get them (super good price) and instead looked to see what else they offer.

Brother Jim said we should try a can of the mackerel so I got one.  Oh my, sisters, it was great!  It's even better than tuna or kippers and the can is so big we can't even eat it all in one meal yet for the same price as a little can of the others.

We were richly blessed with a simple and healthy meal for dinner tonight.  I would happily share some with you, in fact I will be stocking up on cans of it so there will be plenty, lol. I love this verse:

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

 Acts 2:46

In fact some of us sisters share pictures of our food with one another because if we were together we would be sharing so it's our way of Acts 2 across the miles.

Well, this is a bit of my keeping busy in the Lord...meeting up with you all here and hoping to share truth, encouragement and lift a countenance.  Speaking of that, brother Jim's been busy in the Lord with an update you can find HERE :-)

Let me know how I can encourage you in the faith.

Much love to you all,

Sister Deb
