Good evening sister saints! How are you doing? We were super busy again today and I was thanking the Lord for the strength to do what I need to do.  I hauled some leaves while brother James was cutting some wood... After we stacked it we walked over to get a wheelbarrow load full and relocate it by the house. On the way I saw this awesome sight... Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?   Job 37:16  The sun was shining through and making them all sparkly, which I couldn't capture but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. It's been really cold but we're still able to use the water in the barrels, that's a blessing. Brother James is adding some center poles to our porch so I peeled the first one. I'll get a picture when we have them all done.  I'm so thankful for the woodstove to keep us warm, it's great in the morning when the floor is cold or in the afternoon from being out in it all ...

Greetings sister saints! Let's be thankful for this day and extra thankful for the blessing of health that allows us to fulfill our Titus 2 duties as godly women!  Praise God for creating us for good works... For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10) Let us walk in a manner worthy of our Savior's name. Ephesians 4:1-7  I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;  Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.  There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, [6] One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.  But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift...

Good evening sister saints! How are you doing in your area of the world?  Are you keeping watch, being salt, ready to give an answer, obediently following His word?  Let's all encourage one another on this path, one day at a time, until the day we go home. After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes?...

Frugal Food Choices- Breakfast

Good day sister saints! We had some rainy weather to drive through this morning... Praise the Lord, we're thankful for every safe trip, especially when we're on highways that have a lot of accidents (and we see why because of the crazy drivers like I used to be before I was transformed in Christ.) For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. (Titus 3:3) So, while we were at our parking spot last night, brother Jim went for a walk while I freshened up and stopped into a Waffle House restaurant to see what their prices were as he was curious. He brought back a menu and showed it to me.  I said ' Oh I could buy a lot of groceries for that ' and we both agreed.  He then said I should do a post to share how a person can be frugal with their resources and why we rarely eat out unless I have a coupon OR if we are paying rent for parking which we only do occa...

From Much to Meager

Image
Good afternoon to our obedient sisters in Christ! We were traveling through a town when we saw something interesting of which brother Jim said I should use for a post here on the sisters blog.  We notice such things because we are among them all the time and they are some people's homes; many are just for vacation but there are those who also live in them full time.  We see some that cost much: Some that are in the middle: And some that are pretty meager: From much to meager. It makes me think of the life of a person coming from the world with the desires to have much (big house, nice cars, the best food, fashionable clothing, big bank accounts, vacations etc)  and being transformed into a new creation by the blood of Christ... then wanting what is meager in this world, just to get by cuz it's all going to burn one day, anyway. I'm sure you sisters think the same way, wanting for less rather than more.  Being appreciative of the home you have, thankful that we are pr...

Getting Ready to Go

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! We have arrived at the land and are planning on working some projects for a few days and then hitting the road again, sharing the gospel good news! Brother Jim is working on making a new place to put our gospel signs on the back of the van. He's pretty crafty when it comes to things like this and can offer much advice to brothers in the area of building and modifications.  While we were there I was halfway leaning on these carts trying to take a break when brother Jim said he could use one to make me a place to lay down and he could wheel me around when I have a bad day:-)   There's a spot under it for the little generator and so I could plug in my heat pad and some storage area for gospel cards and signs...we had a laugh over that:-)  We then had to go to a different town to take care of some business so we stopped at a couple dent and bent grocery stores along the way.   They just built this new building and have an incr...

Breakfast and a Fixer

Image
Good day to our sisters in Christ, Praise be to God the Father, maker of all things! I pray you are strong and keeping your eyes on Christ. When we visit our grandchildren they always ask to go see our van. They are fascinated that someone can live like we do, and of course we share with them why we do it...for the preaching of the gospel. While we were in there, our youngest grandson pointed up and said... It's the jack that raises the roof that Jim built.  He's 5 yrs old and already has his mind on fixing things:-) Too cute:-) Matthew 18:3  And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Speaking of the vanlife, since we live off grid and don't have a refrigerator, we use a cooler to keep things cold. In Wisconsin and Minnesota there's a convenience / gas station chain that gives away complimentary ice and they have really good coupon deals in their app. We got all this for .85 cent...
