Working in a Skirt

Image
Godly greetings to my godly sisters!!! ! Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you. Philippians 4:21  I made another audio today called "Working in a Skirt". You can also find it HERE on the sisters audio page. What a joy an honor to be a daughter is the Most High, let nothing hinder us from bringing Him the glory He deserves!   For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 2 Corinthians 4:6-7 As we were doing the wood this morning brother James pointed out the frost flowers so I made a video so you could see them too... Apparently it has to do with the fluctuating temperatures.  What delicate beauty. When I tried to pick one up it broke like glass. Which doeth great things and unsearchable; mar...

Colors for Biblical Clothing

Image
Good evening sister saints! I hope you all are doing well in this day the Lord has given us! Brother James suggested I do this post after I sent him a picture I took and shared what a sister said about it.   She commented something to the fact that the clothing blended into the trees. We (brother James and I) both appreciated that and it sparked a blog post to help us sisters chose our colors when buying or sewing clothes. I want to start off by linking brother James article on it HERE . You may want to read that then come back here because I'm going to add a woman's perspective to it.   One thing that brother James questioned was why there are supposed colors that seemed to be male and female. We determined that it was a cultural thing that we wanted nothing to do with it and so we choose to wear colors that either of us could wear. If I was looking at a pink shirt or skirt I pictured brother James wearing a pink tunic with pink pants. That helps me a lot in m...

How to Modify A Shirt (with video)

Image
Good day sisters!   Maybe it's morning when you read this:-)  A sister saint (thank you) made this picture (and one below) and I thought it was a good greeting for you all.  I'm thankful to be able to have some time to do some Titus 2 duties: sewing projects and get ready for our next trek down the road, Lord willing.   I made a couple videos of of my sewing that I thought might be helpful to some of you.  The first one is a quick way to make a large neck on a shirt, smaller so that it doesn't bag out on you. Next I have a longer video that shows how I modified a few different things on a shirt that I got from the thrift store.  It was too big for blogger to put here so it's in our ministry page HERE .  For those who don't have a sewing machine, they can be purchased for a reasonable price or you can hand sew like I have done on the road.  (I've hand sewn brother Jim's tunics on the bed in the van, yep anything is possible:-) I'll...

You Look Depressing

Image
Good evening greetings to my striving sister saints who are not afraid of man nor what he may think! Feel free to read the screen capture below from a pastors wife and let's dissect it biblically. This was forwarded to me from a sister in Christ and I thought it would be a good teaching lesson for us all.  This isn't the first time we've heard references to looking depressing, oppressed or the like and if you are well grounded in the word you will know that we are to adorn ourselves from the inside, not the outside, contrary to what the false teaching women (like the one above) will tell you. Moving on...let's examine what God's word says in light of all this. Our heavenly Father knows what's best in the way we cover our temple of the Holy Spirit as He owns us and we were bought with a price, the blood of Christ. (Clothing is a sin covering, read about that HERE , not something we should use to adorn ourselves.)  1 Timothy 2 is perfectly clear on all that. 1 Tim...

Biblical Vs Modest Dress (with audio)

Image
Greetings on this day the Lord has made! I pray you are all doing well?  We are redeeming the time for the Lord and in saying that, I made an audio for you about Biblical vs Modest dress.  You can listen to it HERE . I pray that it blesses you.  HERE is an article that has many links which will help you in the areas of dress, headcovering, submission, feminism, character traits of godly women etc. May God be glorified in our lives as we strive on as obedient sister saints. Overcoming the Obstacles of Biblical Dress (with audio)

Image
Greetings again sisters! I made an audio for you on how I got over the obstacles of biblical dress, you can find that HERE . I hope it helps encourage you to strive on. Romans 8:5-14 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. [8] So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.  And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.  But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mort...

Ugly Covered Women????

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! Praises to those who are striving in all truth, not allowing the world or satan to sway you in any way!   We see the demise of professed believers all around us.  We don't know if people fall back, were never born again or were deceived into false doctrine, all of which is not good:-( Many years ago when I was a babe in Christ, brother Jim was talking to a man that had originally been a German Baptist, then Amish, then Mennonite, the a branch off the Charity group, then another subgroup that split off them...sad story as it seemed at the time we met him (while he was in a sub group of Charity) that he might be seeking truth. I wrote a post about it here on the sisters blog a a year or so ago and I'll paste it here as I want to add something to it and show you the end result of such 'so called' small things.  *********************************************** Many years ago brother Jim stopped at a natural food store and found it was ru...

Are You a Nun or Amish or Mennonite or Pentecostal or Muslim or a Gypsy?

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! I pray your day is going well.  We had to bring our van in the shop for some repairs and are blessed to have a table to sit and work. It's rather strange to me because that's our house and it's in the hands of someone else at the moment. We hope all goes well so we can roll down the road as we have a big day lined up tomorrow, Lord willing. While we were sitting here a nun walked in. It made me think of how, over the years, I've been asked if I'm a nun, of the Amish or Mennonite or a Pentecostal or muslim or a gypsy.  (I'm sure you sisters have had similar situations.) It used to bother me because I don't like being associated with such unbiblical groups but I've learned to just roll with it and give out the gospel while the door is open, turning it into a blessing.    There is some liberty with women in how they dress as long as it's biblical. (You can go HERE to read a teaching on biblical dress for ...
