The Gracious Gift Giver

Image
Good evening to our obedient sisters who love the Lord! What a gift it is to be able to encourage you here and I appreciate and am thankful for each day I'm able to. What I do is nothing compared to the precious gifts that our Father in heaven, has offered to us.  Praise God, He is a gracious gift giver.  Let's refresh ourselves in the word and see these gifts offered from a loving Father to His obedient children. His Son (John 3:16)  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Repentance (2 Timothy 2:25-26) In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. Eternal  life (Romans 6:23) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Holy

My Slice of Humble Pie

Image
Good day sisters:-) We godly women learn something new every day don't we?  Whether it's through experiences, self reflection or 'seeing' something in the Word. Recently I learned something more about myself. There's an old saying about taking your slice of humble pie...meaning a person was humbled.  Brought from a lofty position of which they thought they held, down to one of a realistic level.  That was me, just yesterday. We were in a parking lot where the beggars like to hang out and the spot we parked was by some women who had a Jesus sign.  I wrote about that HERE .  So, I go into the grocery store and it was only a couple minutes after I came out that a man pulled up to talk to brother Jim.  I heard Jim say to the man (as I was walking up by him) that we are not with those beggars.  We support ourselves and don't take anyone's money.  Right then I was like " As soon as this man leaves we gotta move.  We can't be thought of as begging ."

Deceitful Dainties

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! Praise God we are rejoicing in another day!!! As keepers at home, we constantly have to deal with food and the preparation of it so I thought I'd share this with you. Here are a few verses that stuck in my mind (about food) ever since I was a babe in Christ and over the years I have begun to understand them and the concept has shaped me to who I am now. When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee:  And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite.    Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat. Proverbs 23:1-3 This right here... "Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat." When I read that verse, I realized that we are to be careful in our choices of food and thought maybe it meant things like candy and junk food as we see it today.  But as I mature, I see that it can also mean fancy foods that are even healthy.  Let me share what I

Oatmeal Overload and Being Blessed

Greetings sisters! We are encountering winter today, this is what we woke up to... We call our front windshield our patio window....it's all iced over and it's been snowing all day with just a little accumulation. It's supposed to be cold tonight...like 10 degrees :-) but after a few days it will warm up again.  We trust in our Father that we will be where we need to be so putting up with winter weather in a van is something we shall do:-) Trust in the  Lord  with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.    In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6) Every morning and evening we take our walk around the parking lot and when we see stray carts, we grab them and put them away. It's somewhat fun, breaking up the circles we do while getting our exercise, and it's a nice thank you to Walmart for letting us park overnight. Sometimes we meet people to talk to and give the gospel. After we were fi

Greetings sisters! I'm continuously amazed at the timing and the course of our path, that is of the Father. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.   (Proverbs 3:6) Just this morning I finished an article about how Jesus came for the lowly, you can read it here if you want. https://titus24sisters.blogspot.com/2019/09/jesus-came-for-lowly.html And then later on today an occurrence happened that coincides with that article and I wanted to share it with you. In the article I talked about how the 'professed' Christians snub us but the lowly and humble are the ones that come to ask us about the things of God. Jesus said this about His disciples: A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.  By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. (John 13:34-35) Guess what we have found?  Modern day Christians disobey that verse and in fa
