Refining Fire of Trials

Image
Godly greetings to our sisters! Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.  Philippians 4:21  Praise God for another day to serve Him and I'm glad to come here and encourage you as well. We've been working hard on the utility cabin and within that, one of my jobs was to burn the wood trim. It's a nice piece of wood before you burn it but it's even better afterwards... Just like the fire of trials we go through in the Christian life....we can be doing well before but come out from them even better on the other side.  I made an audio to encourage us in it all. Or you can listen to it HERE . (As I was working on this post a sister sent this to me...thank you sister!!!) And it's true that others grow stronger when they see a saint walking through a trial while trusting in the Lord, not fretting or fearing but standing strong and pressing through. And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to

Refreshing Vinegar Drink

Image
Greetings to my Titus 2 Sisters! This is just a quick post to share an inexpensive, tasty and nourishing vinegar drink with you. I know, a lot of people can't think of vinegar as being something they want to drink but once you get used to it, it's awesome.  They sell these drinks in the stores for $2.50-$3 each and we can make them for pennies. Its super easy: There are a lot of benefits to apple cider vinegar, you can look it up and see for yourself and decide. We are blessed to be able to do good things for the people in our lives and maybe this will be something you are thankful for.  If not then that's okay too :-) Love to you all, Sister Deb And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward. Matthew 10:42

Unsearchable And Unspeakable

Image
Greetings sister saints! Let us rejoice in this day the Lord has made and remember the precious gift of His son and through Him we can have eternal life.  Test yourself at the gospel HERE as many are deceived with the lies of easy believism.  Today I made an audio glorifying our Father, called Unsearchable and Unspeakable.   You can also listen to it HERE .  What an awesome Father we serve, as we follow after our Saviour!  Today my heart was overflowing with joy thinking of my sisters who are sacrificing their lives for the Lord and reaching out in ministry to share the gospel with the lost all the while doing their duties and encouraging the brethren.  Praise the Lord for diligent saints! 📣📣📣📣📣 I shared this sunset  picture with some sisters and one returned it with the scripture... I love that, praise God and I'm so thankful to be able to do work and not dependant on others. We are almost finished with the utility cabin which is an all purpose cabin (sewing, projects, sto

God is Not of Confusion and Homestead Activities

Image
Greetings sister saints!!! I hope you are all doing well??? A sister is going through a blizzard and sent this picture of all the snow stuck to the window screen and I added the scripture to it.  Amen, a godly woman will work hard to be prepared in her household for all things!  Speaking of being prepared, I wanted to remind us that God is not of confusion and for us sisters to always be on guard, testing all things, being prepared against the evil one. You can also listen to it HERE on the sisters audio page. God offers us everything we need to press on, overcome and endure and if we are lacking something we just need to ask Him.  I'd say that in this instance here in dealing with confusion and the people who bring it. we need to make sure we have and use wisdom. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.  But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea

The Blessing of Children and Beware of Bad Translations

Image
Godly greetings in love to our sister saints! (Thank you sister for the scripture pictures and sharing God's creation from the other side of the world.) Unsearchable, that's a pretty deep word and one that we can't even find the full meaning of when referring to the magnitude of our Creator!  It goes along with this: Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. 2 Corinthians 9:15  What a humbling thought to know we are partakers of His Holy Spirit if we have been born from above and be transformed into a new creation through Christ Jesus.  When we ponder such things it wipes away a lot of the cares of this world and readjusts our mind doesn't it?  Sometimes we need reminders on such things and sisters to help us refocus as we can get a bit lost in all the cares of this world if we're not careful. 📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖 I saw these books in the thrift store and wanted to warn you sisters that we are not to be taking teaching from false teachers as Romans 16:17

Beware of Bad Translations

Image
Greetings sister saints! I want to warn us sisters about some areas in the bible that we godly woman have to watch out for and make sure we are looking at the greek words, because the translated words we have in some of our bibles can be misleading.   For instance, let's look at the word ' woman ' in 1 Corinthians 11.  I don't know what translation that is but it's misleading and adding to / taking away form God's Word (which we are warned about in Revelation) by using the word 'wife'.  Let's look at the real meaning. It should say 'woman', not wife because if we look at that same word in other areas scripture, the word 'wife' does not work.  Let's see some. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.  Acts 1:14    (So only wives were allowed to join them?) And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both

The Gospel Going Out, Plant Based Milk and Edging a Log

Image
Good evening sister saints! I hope you are all well today? We are rejoicing that the gospel went out in many ways today during our trip to town. Brother James will have a story to share about a worldly man receiving the gospel while his Mennonite co-worker got upset and didn't want to hear it.  He also was able to share many gospel cards in the hardware / home good store.  I ran into a bulk food store to get some cinnamon (and found a great deal on some colored peppers, yay!) and when I walked in, a young Mennonite woman who was working there said 'Hi'.  I'm not used to being greeting in such a nice manner from them and hoped to have her check me out so I could give her a gospel card.  Well, she was the one and when I was done, I gave her an anabaptist card and told her it was good news.  She took it, looked at it and said "I will appreciate this".  The funny thing is, this morning i woke up thinking about stopping there and in the end, they didn't even h

Plant Based Milks (Oat and Nut)

Image
Greetings to my Titus 2 Sister saints! I thought I'd just share my experience with making some plant based milks and not that I'm against regular milk, I was just looking to see what other options there are. I'll share a couple simple ideas for those of you who might be interested, for whatever reason you might have, and maybe it'll be a Titus 2 blessing for you. I'm not fond of all the fillers they put in their plant based milks in the store nor do I want to pay the price for the natural ones (sometimes I'll buy one if it's on a great discount) and these here are very inexpensive and super easy to do. We'll start with the oat milk.  All you need to do is blend oats with water (for a minute or two) and then strain.   (You can use any kind of blender you have.) You can then use the oat left overs for your breakfast or cooking or whatever you want. Once you strain out the oats (I used just a regular strainer but some people use cloth which seems more work
