Say Cheese!

Image
Greeting sisters in Christ! We were blessed with a gift of cheese from a brother in the Lord... ...and enjoyed a wonderful snack on some wholesome crackers.  (It tasted good on egg sandwiches as well :+) Later that night we went for a walk and decided to check out the flower department.  (Yup, for those of you up north like we used to be, they have flowers all year long down here.)  (Find me way in the back waving!)   It's strange to me that they can garden all year long  when we are used to such a limited time (June to mid Sept).  It's also strange to me how fast time is flying as it seems that the older we get the faster time goes.  Spring is around the corner and soon we'll be heading north and west to the central area of the country for a while before we head out west.  Lord willing, we will live to do it and share the gospel along the way. Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for

Omnidirectional Protection

Greetings sisters in Christ! We had a brother in the Lord asking technical questions so brother Jim had me send some info to him.  As we finished up, he sent me this encouragement and I wanted to share it with you :-) He has a very interesting depth in the way he looks at things in this world and compares it to God's Word.  Praise God, our Father is the Alpha and Omega, He is All in All, the Beginning and the End, the King of King and Lord of Lords.  Amen! Let us remember that each day as we face our trials. Be strong sisters. Love in Christ, Sister Deb The biblical gospel... https://www.dontperish.com/the-gospel.html

Teach the Young Women to be Sober

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! The hours in this day are a gift from God, how are you spending them?  Ephesians 5 tells us to redeem the time and it was a very encouraging passage to me as a new believer in Christ. It helped keep me focused on the the Lord and protected me from getting swept away on the internet while learning about being a keeper at home.  There's too much idle time being spent looking at recipes, crafting and homemaking than there is obedience in some believers lives, I hope that's not you. One big thing we notice is that there is a lack of wisdom in the elderly because most of them act as foolish as the youth.  Oftentimes the only differences between youth and the elderly are gray hair and wrinkles! The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness. Proverbs 16:31 (Hoary means: age, gray hair, old age )  What God has set in motion, such as gray hair, is not esteemed as glory because it is not found in the way of righteousn

Don't Get Caught Up in the Moment

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! Brother Jim said something the other day about how we can get worked up over issues that usually turn out to be nothing. I agreed and made the comment that we are not to get caught up in the moment, and it sounded like a good post to share with you. Life in general can be filled with trials and then if we top it off by being obedient followers of Christ, we get double our share of troubles to overcome. Amen sisters?! While we're in those trails we can get caught up in the moment and not see the big picture, therefore our view is skewed and we might work ourselves into a something that need not be.  For instance, you may have a text communication with someone and it may come across to you as rude or angry.  Instead of getting worked up you should check with them to see their intent before imagining what might be going on with that person. Pre-supposition is a problem we humans face because we tend to want to predict the outcome or 'suppose' w

In the majesty of the name of the Lord

Greetings sisters in Christ! Praise God we have been very busy witnessing! And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:  (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) 2 Peter 2:7-8 This world can be very vexing after a while and just as Jesus went into the wilderness, we are blessed to find a respite once in a while of which I wanted to share one with you. We headed to a popular area of the state to witness and along the way we made a quick detour to see God's creation...the ocean.  It was cold so we knew we wouldn't encounter any undressed people, in fact there was virtually nobody out there.   It was a brief period of refreshing for us and I'll admit, I had to kill my flesh because I could have walked that beach all....day ....long... hearing the waves and watching the wind blow them into the shore.   Just posting this refreshes

Neither Are Your Ways My Ways Saith the Lord

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! As we travel through this life as strangers in this world, we see it differently than the unregenerated. What used to be one way, the most logical to the human mind, becomes illogical in the life of Christ. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the  Lord .  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9 I love this reverse life in Christ.  What we used to rejoice in, we now reject and what we used to reject we now rejoice in!  The other day we were in a thrift store and I was excited because I found a big shirt. (A BIG shirt.)  I took a picture and text it to brother Jim who was on the other side of the store. I was laughing to myself because it used to be that I was excited when I could squeeze into a size smaller but today I rejoice when I find xxx large and could squeeze 3 of me into it! I don't want to turn this

It's Become a Pride Thing

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! I'm sure you all have your struggles in the area of pride and if you've been walking any amount of time, you've already killed a good majority of it and are working on conquering the rest.  Today I'm going to share about how we can have pride rise up that we didn't even know was lurking in darkness of our flesh and how we can either pluck it out or overpower it. We bought some sun shades for the windows of our van, you know the kind you fold out and flip the visor down and it keeps the sun from shining in the windows or people from peeking in (if you live in your vehicle like we do.)  Well, these are not the folding kind, they are the ones that are a big rectangle and if you are blessed to have the skill, you can fold them down into a circle and put them away.  When we first got them, I'd figured out out and it was sort of fun, but the next day I couldn't fold but only one.  The other 3 were beginning to make me mad and after

God Wants for None to Perish

Blessings to you Sisters in Christ. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.    The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:8-10 I shared with you about how we were out street witnessing outside an event run by a well known false teacher.  I didn't mention who it was then but I will today, it was Franklin Graham, Billy Graham's son.  Billy was a false teacher and so is his son, who followed in his footsteps.  You can read about it here:   https://titus24sisters.blogspot.com/2020/01/the-seriousness-of
