Cleaning House and Hearts

Image
Greetings to our striving sister saints:+) I hope you are holding fast to the word of God and hope that lies before us if we endure through this life.  I did a lot of cleaning yesterday and thought I would share it with you and then share a little bit about what I was thinking while I was doing it.  Washing windows is a satisfying job.  A clean, recycled jar... ... And a tin can ready to be put to good use. Cooler bags washed and ready to be used again. Clothes washed then hung to dry. And a clean door.  A cleaned and organized spice cabinet. Clean dishes ready for their daily use. A dirty water pan... Washed and like new. Brother James had a big wood pile to work on.. And did a good job cleaning it up. After our laborers we took a break and enjoyed iced coffee I made. (It was an unusually warm Dec day:-) And all the while this was going on I couldn't stop thinking about how God's word constantly tells us to clean the sin from our lives. We see how the Israelites had to clean

Sink Holes and Sin

Image
Blessings and peace to all my obedient sisters in Christ! We found a park just across from our parking spot and decided to take a walk there and then work online in the shade, under the trees. I made a video to share some of the beauty we saw and although it's somewhat blurry by the time it gets compressed enough to get into blogger, you can still see.  We went down this walkway... And saw this... Apparently it's a sink hole, which is pretty common here in this state that sticks out into the ocean like an upside down thumb.  It made me think about us sisters and how, if we hide any little sins and try to cover them up, they will be there to fall right back in.  We must forsake all sins, not hide them,  that means put them away and not turn back to them.  We know of people who had a pile of things to forsake and instead of disposing of them or burning them like we see in Acts. They held on to them, making excuses and procrastinated and it wasn't long when they came upon some

White as Snow

Blessings in the name of the Lord, sisters! I pray you woke up praising our Father this morning.  Satan can distract us the second we open our eyes if we are not careful so let us always remember to have praises on our tongue when a new day dawns. O come, let us sing unto the  Lord : let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. 2  Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. 3  For the  Lord  is a great God, and a great King above all gods. 4  In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. 5  The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. 6  O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the  Lord  our maker. 7  For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice, 8  Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: 9  When y

The Slow Slide into Sin

Image
Greetings sisters! Are you standing strong in the Lord and the power of His might? (Ephesians 6:10) The battle is on and raging; satan is roaming around seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8) and we see him succeeding left and right, day after day.   Today I want to share with you about the slow slide into sin:-( We see it all the time. A woman claiming the name of Christ, saying she is born again, sharing about her transformed life and desiring to walk in holiness and obedience to the Word....until something in her life threatens her comfort and she conforms like a chameleon to her surroundings, and those in it.   These are women who have claimed to be transformed inside through the power of the Holy Spirit and then through obedience, have changed their external appearance and actions.  They are head covered, biblically dressed (not just 'modest' but biblical), claiming to be working on submission to husbands or elders, separated from the world, not clinging
