White as Snow

Blessings in the name of the Lord, sisters!
I pray you woke up praising our Father this morning.  Satan can distract us the second we open our eyes if we are not careful so let us always remember to have praises on our tongue when a new day dawns.

O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.
The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.
For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,
Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.
10 Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:

11 Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.
Psalm 85

We are currently in a location of the country that rarely sees snow, which is the reason we are here because having come from a frigid winter land up north, we already know that street witnessing is not feasible.  Even when we could withstand the weather for hours on end holding signs, rarely do people want to stand around and reason in the word.  So we go where it's better weather conditions.

Having said that, there's a teeny, tiny part of me that misses the stark white, clean fresh snow on a bright day.  I took these pics 2 years ago when we got a snowfall early in the spring when we went back up to do some work.  (Now that place belongs to new owners, praise God :-)

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Isaiah 1:18

When we have repented and are born again in Christ, our sins are no longer a stain against us.  We are washed clean and they are now white as snow.  If you've ever walked in the snow down an old country road or in the woods, it's a very peaceful, serene, calm experience.

I loved walking in the evening as the snow was falling, looking up at a light to see it coming down, softly and silently.  Each flake is one of a kind and the details on them are astounding.  This is only a glimpse of the greatness of our Father in Heaven.  He can make us a clean and white as a snowflake.

Many, many years ago, knowing my sin but not knowing the truth of God's Word, I wondered if there was a way that mankind (me) could clean themselves up enough to go to heaven. My garment was overflowing with red stains of sin and when I heard through the gospel that there is a new life waiting for those who will come to Christ, I hungered for that and ran forward.

I am forever grateful for the washing of my sins through the blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus, that I will give my life to follow after Him.

 18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
1 Peter 1:18-25
