Encouragement for Christian Sisters

  Praise the Lord for the end of another day, amen sisters? Well, it's not quite the end but getting there.  Sometimes ours ends at 11:00 pm and sometimes several hours later but at some point...it ends and the next one begins.   Our day began with heading down the highway, heading south, to our next destination. Killing the flesh is what we all have to do, in various ways, according to the life we have to live.  The flesh we kill may not be what you have to kill and vice versa but it's all something that must be done.  In our case, a great deal of flesh being killed is making ourselves go out into the world and proclaim the truth, when we know how much the world didn't like it from the beginning. Death of our Savior and the saints that followed Him as the proof of that.  There's nothing new under the sun and so it shall be again.   I often think of the prophets being sent to re

 Greetings to our sister saints around the world! Praise the Lord that we get to send such encouragement to everyone with the press of a button.  Obviously satan will use this technology for His ill will but for the time being we shall shine our light in it!  Today as we were traveling we were greeted with passersby's (flying like 80 mph) honking angrily and giving obscene gestures but our light was shining.  (As a side note, they like to drive fast around here!)  I grew up when it was a big deal to make it as fast as 55 mph in our old vehicles and since then the vehicles go like crazy and the roads are opened for it.  In fact, one area through Oklahoma says you cannot go under 60 mph.  So you would get a ticket for wanting to go slower and be safe?  I don't know about this world, and we constantly see signs stating the death count on the highways for that state, like 686 and its not the end of the year yet.   Anyway, today was a travel day and then brother Jim changed the oil

Greetings sisters in Christ! Today is a quick keeper of the van (home) update on how we stay cool and learning to kill the flesh.  So far this spring has been super cool for the average temps and we are very thankful for that!  We know, however, that summer is coming and since we may be in the central part of the US, more than we usually are, brother Jim wanted to make sure we had enough ventilation and air circulation.  I can normally handle heat just fine but with physical issues it can make me sicker and harder to overcome my trials so he tries hard to help me out in that area.  He installed a small air conditioner last year for the super hot days and it works well enough to cool the van down from sweltering to bearable but only use it in extreme heat.  This year, I shared with you that he added the pop up roof and it has 2 windows that allow a lot of air to circulate. Greetings to you Christian sisters all over the world! I pray you are doing well physically and most of all spiritually! Today I want to talk about being flexible in the flesh.  By this I mean, not getting so wrapped up in your flesh, what you like, what you're used to, standards you set etc. that you are not flexible to go with what the Lord might be doing in your life, or just plain old circumstances that change plans. If we are wrapped in the flesh and are upset that things changed, we didn't finish what we wanted to (again!), a schedule was disrupted, projects cancelled or put off, shopping trips not going as planned etc, it will wreck our day and we will lose our peace and joy...in this temporal world.  If we have the mindset on things above...  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians 3:2 ...it will eliminate a lot of disappointments and frustrations in our life because we won't be focused on our ideals and goals

Greetings sisters, Onward we press forward, looking ahead toward Christ.  I pray you are all doing the same.  The title here is one that we commonly talk about, walking in the Spirit, not the flesh.  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Greetings sisters, It's been a few busy days and we are joyful to be at our destination for the evening.  Tonight we are blessed with some comfortable seats with a big table to work at.  That's a rarity for us and we don't deserve it but are thankful.  We've had an interesting past few days and today was one that if we were living in the flesh, would have challenged us. So they that are in the flesh cannot please God. (Romans 8:8)   I don't want to be in the flesh because if I am, then I am not in the Spirit and if I'm not in the Spirit then I'm not pleasing God.  It's something we all have to work at not only when things aren't going well, but also when they are.  The human flesh is so wicked and destructive.   Today we were reminded of the remnants of disastrous fleshly issues getting in the way of brothers and sisters as we were traveling through an area; a town there are a brother and sister that have separated from the body for reasons o
