On The Road Again

Image
Greeting sisters in Christ! Praise the Lord we were able to help our brother with several things and we are not back on the road, heading north and sharing the gospel along the way.  (Picture by brother Jim) I shot a couple videos as we were leaving to share some beauty with you. This one is of a dam close to where our homestead is. I've shared that I really dislike crossing bridges / dams and this one is no exception.  It sure looks nice from up above but it's old and to me it seems like it would crumble under the tires.  Brother Jim smiles and tells me to trust in God.   He's right. The next one is a road not far in the opposite direction, as we head north. The land here is amazingly beautiful! Our Father created it all. The weather has been incredible, so cool and breezy, what a treat!  We are prepared in our van for whatever weather we encounter but most importantly we are prepared inside, to deal with whatever comes our way.  Flesh k

A Few Feet Shy of Death

Greetings sisters in Christ! I'm so thankful to be able to write this post to you, praise God for each and every day!  We recently witnessed an accident that could have turned out to be tragic.  We were sitting at a stop light in the left turn lane, waiting for the light to turn green as all the lights were red.  The cross traffic was going through the intersection when a big red truck went through at the same time a little car ran the red light.  He smashed into her front quarter panel, spinning him around full circle.  A second later a little boy's head popped up in the passenger window, the door opened and we shouted to stay in the car!  He jumped out and ran across the road and while he was running, I jumped out to check traffic and go to him.  Brother Jim jumped out and went to the car to see if the driver was okay. The little boy (maybe 7 yrs old) was crying so hard, yelling 'My baby brother's in there!  My baby brother's in there!'   I tried to

Satan's System Dividing the Family

Greetings sisters in Christ! Praise our Father in Heaven for His life giving Word to help us through this every darkening world! Not long ago brother Jim and I had to go to get some supplies at a home improvement store and while we were walking in through the entrance we heard a woman worker shout 'Sir!  Sir! No children under the age of 16 are allowed in the store!!!  (I wonder if they need to see the exact time a child was born on his birth certificate because if he was 15 years and 23 hours old he is detrimental to society but that one hour older makes him okay?)   (Picture drawn by brother Jim.) We have seen the signs posted outside for many weeks now but had never encountered anyone being kicked out because of it.That man must have not seen it. (We've seen little babies with parents so maybe they smuggled them in?)  This man (about 30ish) handed his son (about 10ish) the car keys and the young boy walked out. We were trying not to be outraged in ou

Constant Flesh Killing Mode

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! Today is a quick keeper of the van (home) update on how we stay cool and learning to kill the flesh.  So far this spring has been super cool for the average temps and we are very thankful for that!  We know, however, that summer is coming and since we may be in the central part of the US, more than we usually are, brother Jim wanted to make sure we had enough ventilation and air circulation.  I can normally handle heat just fine but with physical issues it can make me sicker and harder to overcome my trials so he tries hard to help me out in that area.  He installed a small air conditioner last year for the super hot days and it works well enough to cool the van down from sweltering to bearable but only use it in extreme heat.  This year, I shared with you that he added the pop up roof and it has 2 windows that allow a lot of air to circulate. Not long ago he made a screen for our doors so that we can leave them open and the bugs don't come in but the

Obedient Godly Women of Old...Mary and Elisabeth

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ, Today I want to look at a couple obedient godly woman of old, Mary and Elisabeth, the mother of Jesus and her cousin. I'm doing them both as they are tied together in scripture. I'm sure as I go through these women of old, there would be much more input if us sisters were sitting together sharing our perspectives but it's only me and I'll share what I have. In Luke 1 we see the God working through Zacharias and Elisabeth in the conception of John.  Note vs 6: And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord, blameless.  That's a mighty high commendation, one that I would strive for.  It says in the 6th month from the conception of John that an angel (Gabriel) was sent to Mary, who was espoused to Joseph. 28  And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. 29  And when she saw him, she wa

We Still Have Freedom

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! I pray you are thanking the Lord for this day and are thankful for it!  The other night we were parked and heard what sounded like a police radio someplace close to the van. I kept looking out the windows when finally we saw the car right in front of us, working on someone else's vehicle.   Apparently the man had locked himself out and the police helped him get back in because not long after he was driving off down the road.  Brother Jim and I were thankful that the police weren't there for us as there are many who hate the truth of God's word and call the police on us for no reason.  There have been times that we have been accused of chasing people down the street or running up to vehicles, which is not true as we record all our witnessing for just that purpose.  We are thankful to be free! As this world continues to spiral into greater darkness, we here in America (other places as well) are losing our freedoms that we were used to

God's Creation...Snail, Scorpion and Beetle

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! Praise God for His creation...today I share with you a few more creepy critters from the land. Brother Jim found this snail under our big water trough that we use to catch rainwater to use for showers, washing and maybe someday, our garden. The average life is 3-7 years but some in captivity have lived up to 15.  Their shell continues to grow throughout their life. They eat fungi, algae, plants and leaves.  Here's the underside: Very unique! This thing was crawling on my skirt one day and brother Jim was laughing at it, me not seeing it, until he pulled it off and showed me. Beetles are not my favorite thing but they certainly are interesting. Here is a reason why you don't bring a lot of wood into the house for the woodstove and instead bring in just what you need at a time: There could be a dormant scorpion in a piece of wood, get warmed up in the winter by the stove and make a home inside your home when you
