God's Creation....Ducks

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ, A few nights ago we were blessed to be at a parking spot that had a big pond across the street and lots of cute ducks to feed.  (We were at this same location on our way south and decided to stop again on our way back toward the midwest.)  It was a refreshing break from the world. They look like a type of Muscovy duck and there were also some Canadian geese but they were more shy.  These were at a pond that was next to a large facility and we're sure they are fed a lot because they weren't afraid.  In fact there was one that had a lame leg and while brother Jim was feeding them he sat right down and ate out of his hand.  Too cute!  We enjoyed our time, giving praise to our Father for allowing us to have a part of his beautiful creation.  On down the road we went and still are going :-) Have a joyous day. Christian Liberty In Our Homes

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! I want to post Romans 14 here and then talk about liberties in our lives. 1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. 2  For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. 3  Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. 4  Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. 5  One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6  He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. 7  For none of us livet

Beware of 'Christian' Women Teachers

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ, I pray you are strong in the Lord and staying off the internet for theology.  I want to write a quick post about the dangers of following 'professed' Christian women bible teachers.  Just as there are thousands of false men teachers there are many false women teachers, expounding on God's Word and both are deceiving the masses.  That's why we encourage people to build their foundation on God's Word, not man and once mature, a believer can then discern false teachings that are brought before them. Sadly we see people following people just like sheep follow sheep.  The blind leading the blind as Jesus said. This list is short but entails much under each point as you can see by the article links included. Keep in mind these women have been 'teaching' for years and claiming to be a believer for many more years.  If after all these years they have not read enough of God's Word to correct their life and repent of these si

Going Home

Image
Greetings sisters, Each sunset brings us one day closer to the day we go home to be with our Master. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.  In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.   And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. John 14:1-4 The longer we walk this life in Christ we see how futile this earthly life is and yearn for what is ahead. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4  Don't live for this life, live for what's eternal... For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;  Wh

A Child is an Open Book

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! We are thanking the Lord for safe travels today!  When we got to our destination we were blessed with this sight: It only lasted a few minutes and then was gone. (The colors don't come through well on this picture.)  There were some people standing in the parking lot when brother Jim and I took a picture and they were nonchalant about it, like it was no big deal and kept about their conversation.  But when you are a true child of God, His works are wonderful and you stop to give him the glory in it all.   Amen, how glorious is He! It makes me think of the 'story books' for children and one of the most popular is Noah's Ark.  I recall that as a child and reading it to my own children (before I was in Christ) and I always wondered about what surrounded that 'story'.  Well after I was born born again I saw that it's not a 'story' but a true account and what most of the books don't tell you is that it was al

The Goodness of God

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! At our last parking spot there was a pretty pond so I took a video and overlaid His precious Word on it. I hope it blesses you. Have a joyous day in the Lord. Love to you all, Sister Deb The biblical gospel... https://www.dontperish.com/the-gospel.html

Christian Hypocrites

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! I pray you are striving in obedience and truth!  Obedience and truth are so rare today in so called 'professed' Christians and we are seeing the ramifications of that of which satan is having a field day.  Brother Jim will often ask a seeker " How many people do you know that go to church but live just like everyone else in the world? "  Most people answer " Everyone ."  Brother Jim asks them what that is called and most get it right, a ' hypocrite '. Today I want to talk about 'Christian Hypocrites'. I recall a time before I was a new creation in Christ that I was a bartender.  (A typical partying bartender.) One night as I was leaving after a shift at 2am, I turned down offers to go party the rest of the night because I had to get up to teach Sunday school.  Everyone laughed me out of the bar and I never forgot it.  (It was actually a seed and a turning point in my life. Glory to God, even in the middle o

A Redemptive God

Image
Greetings Sisters in Christ! Let God's Word speak for itself..... In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:27 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;   In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. Witnessing to Women

Image
Greetings to our sisters in Christ, I want to share with you the latest 'Married & in the Word' video brother Jim and I made.  It fits right in this post that I've had in draft for a few days. I also want to encourage you with some witnessing stories that happened while we were at a busy pedestrian mall.  (It's what they call it when you have to walk down the streets, shopping, instead of driving.) This place has hundreds if not thousands of people walking it on a daily basis. We found a good spot at the end of the road where people either crossed the street, got on a trolley or turned around and went back down the street. We had a lot of foot traffic for brother Jim to preach the Word of God to and I held my sign and handed out gospel tracts. Not long after we were out, a woman kept looking at me and I offered a gospel card by holding my hand out with it.  She walked over and said ' What is that? "  I told her it was a gospel card and shar
