Beware of 'Christian' Women Teachers
Greetings sisters in Christ,
I pray you are strong in the Lord and staying off the internet for theology. I want to write a quick post about the dangers of following 'professed' Christian women bible teachers. Just as there are thousands of false men teachers there are many false women teachers, expounding on God's Word and both are deceiving the masses. That's why we encourage people to build their foundation on God's Word, not man and once mature, a believer can then discern false teachings that are brought before them.
Sadly we see people following people just like sheep follow sheep. The blind leading the blind as Jesus said.
This list is short but entails much under each point as you can see by the article links included. Keep in mind these women have been 'teaching' for years and claiming to be a believer for many more years. If after all these years they have not read enough of God's Word to correct their life and repent of these sins, they are to be avoided per Romans 16:17
Here are the basic criteria from God's Word that we use to test them.
1. They should have a biblical gospel. You can read a biblical gospel here https://www.dontperish.com/the-gospel.html
2. They should be obedient to 1 Timothy 2 and 1 Peter 3 which is biblical dress. You can read about that here: https://titus24sisters.blogspot.com/2020/01/dress-for-christian-women.html
3. They should be obedient to 1 Corinthians 11 which is headcovering. You can read about that here:
4. They should be obedient to 1 Corinthians 14 and 1 Timothy 2, not usurping the authority over a man and being silent in the body. You can read about that here: https://titus24sisters.blogspot.com/2020/01/women-silent-in-body.html
5. They should have come out of man made religion which is filled with sin. You can read about that here: https://www.dontperish.com/youve-been-lied-to.html
6. They should not be linked to or promote unbiblical people. You can read about the godly traits of a Christ follower here: http://spiritandtruthdiscernment.blogspot.com/2014/02/10-godly-traits-of-christ-follower.html
It really only takes ONE unrepentant sin to disqualify a person from being a teacher, yet every single ministry we have listed on the false teachers site has MANY unrepentant sins.
Many women overlook the commands of God to avoid false teachers and continue to learn from these disobedient women teachers....to their demise.
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
2 Timothy 3: 1-7
These false women teachers have been 'heaped up' by people attending their seminars, buying and reading their books, subscribing to their videos etc.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
2 Timothy 4:3-4
It's really quite simple to discern a ministry and can be done very fast using the points above. Normally, within several minutes of landing on a website or facebook page, we can see many sins that outright disqualify anyone (man or woman) from being a teacher. I encourage you to stop viewing their information in any way because the more you dig (even if looking to see if they are calvanists, what they believe on pre-trib, why they dispute against headcovering or biblical dress etc) you are giving them a platform to speak into your life and potentially deceive you. If you see someone break into a car and steal something, you have quickly discerned that they are a thief. You probably wouldn't follow them around to see what other crimes they commit would you? We don't need to do that with false teachers either...once you discern they are unbiblical, you are to avoid them. Turn away from them as 2 Timothy 3 said and go on your way, redeeming the time for the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:16)
I hope this helps you quickly discern false teachers and keep you from being deceived.
Love in Christ,
Sister Deb with brother Jim
