Inspired and Encouraged by the Brethren

Image
Hello sisters! Just a quick letter to say I'm thinking of you all!  We are traveling to a job that we have to do tomorrow but I wanted to share with you a couple short videos I made. I thought I'd include a few pics of the day... Here's the view I have from our van....camping in the Cabela's parking lot:-)  We're thankful for a place to rest. I'm so thankful....today I started out with some very rough physical trials but now I am doing better.  Praise God, don't every take your health for granted. As we were parked here we saw a very strange thing and without going into details I will say this verse came into my head. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28 Nobody can do anything to His children unless He allows it.  Remember that sisters. It's late and we have to get up early an

A White Stone with a New Name

Image
Greetings sisters! I pray you are all well and strong in the Lord.  Each day that goes by is one day closer to being set free from this world and into eternal life with our Father! For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. Romans 14:8 And some day we get a new name.... Brother Jim and I have been running into a lot of roadblocks and technicalities that have been a big hindrance lately and it can be very tiring especially when you want to be doing the things of the Lord, but it teaches us patience and endurance. Enduring through these trials is part of our Romans 12:1-2 sacrifice for the Lord, killing our flesh and continuing to move forward day by day.  We only get one day at a time so we better be thankful for each one. I do look forward to that day though, and I try not to be impatient in this life, enduring and waiting upon Him to release me to be with Him an

Being Set Free From the Bondage of Sin

Image
Greetings sisters, in the name of our Lord and Savior! I pray you are standing strong, enduring and being thankful.  Isaiah 26:8 Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O  Lord , have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee. I made a video yesterday about how thankful I am to be set free from the bondage of sin.   We are back in Wisconsin wrapping up a few things and we hope this is our last trip to the property and soon it will belong to someone else as we move on down the road.  It's really shown us how much bondage a person can set themselves in with possessions if they are not careful.  I have moved 24 times in my life and for many years I lived a disposable life.  I would get by on the bare minimum and be able to just give back to the thrift store what big items I had purchased and moved on with very little.  It was easy to move but as I got older and the moves were further in between I began to accumulate more stuff.

Sewing on a Button and Not Taking Anything for Granted

Greetings sisters! We are praising God for allowing us to make it to our Wisconsin destination safely.  We must make sure we never take for granted even one day that He gives us to serve Him! Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;  That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.     (Ephesians 2:11-13) Let us remember that it wasn't long ago (God has no timing) that we were sinners and now through the blood of Christ we are saints if we are born again in Christ Jesus, so who are we to take anything for granted but instead be always thankful.    And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giv

Traveling, Cooking and Floods

Greetings sisters! I pray you are all strong in faith and health.   A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Proverbs 17:22 That's such good admonishment because there are times we can feel broken and it affects not only us but everyone around us.  Sometimes when I feel overwhelmed I stop and smile, thinking of what our Savior has done and it makes everything else pale in comparison.  Our flesh can take us on a ride into selfism if we are not careful.   Let us cultivate a merry heart and how do we do that?  One way is to set our affections on things above.  (Colossians 3:2) This year, for us, has been different and one that has been a real flesh killer.  Starting out with dark painful times this winter, leading into the spring where we had to work on our house to get it up for sale, then in between running back and forth between Wisconsin and Missouri several times (we are in the middle of another run right now); our life is an ever

Encouragement Not to Fear

Image
Hello Sisters! I hope this all finds you well and striving strong in the Lord.   Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:1-2) Praise the Lord we are on the road traveling and reached our destination for the evening. We are thankful for a safe trip. Today I want to share with you about fear.   A brother in the Lord, who was going through some trials, wrote a post about fear, using many scriptures and it encouraged me in that area.  I decided to do a video for you sisters to see if it might encourage you as well. Let us walk in perfect love and not succumb to the temptat

A Guest Post on 'Using Your Money With Wisdom and Frugality'

Hello Sisters! I hope your summer is going well so far (and apparently it's fall weather for some of you:-) We are busy here trying to finish up this load of carving so we can head out and see who the Lord will have us minister to.   But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear 1 Peter 3:15 We must always be ready with the word of God either in our minds or ready to share. Amen! I have a video below that I talked to brother Jim about sharing.   He made this video to teach about being wise and frugal with your money and since it's also a homemaker topic we decided to share it here.  It's not a theological teaching nor does it have anything to do with salvation, it's a general video with brother Jim expounding on some of the topics I've already shared with you here.  You may or may not choose to listen to it, either way that's fine,

Dinner on the Road

Image
Greetings Sisters! This is the day which the  Lord  hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24 We are rejoicing for each day and being patient with every schedule change that we encounter because it seems like almost every day something changes but we are conditioned to just go with it! Speaking of 'going with it', I thought I'd share a quick story about a brother in the Lord who is learning about this changing life as well. He keeps in contact with us every day... But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. Hebrews 3:13 ...we see him shedding his old flesh and learning to live a simple life on the road as a trucker. Here's an example of him learning how to improvise while on the move and make the best of all situations. He had a delivery to do out in the country and after getting there too late to unload and head to his next destination, he was told he could camp ou
