See If There Be Any Wicked Way In Me

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! There was .... Wickedness :-( For a short time, in me today, after I got off a 2 hour phone call that did nothing and I'll have to do it all again tomorrow.  (Technology, that's all I'll say lest I go backwards...)  Brother Jim knew I was crabby and I was fighting in my flesh, but not doing very well at it.  He said something to the effect that if this is the worst thing we have going on then we're doing pretty good.  My thought was ' you're not the one who has to do it ' and I dropped that like a hot rock because he's right.  We have the hope of eternal life, how can we let little things overtake us when we should be overtaking them? For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. [5] Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 John 5:4-5 It could be that I was weakened by physical struggles, then worn down

A Time to Laugh and a Time to Weep

Greetings sisters in Christ! Are you being good soldiers, fighting the good fight and not growing weary?  Those are all commands and we can overcome through the blood of the lamb, with the help of the Holy Spirit. To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: [2] A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; [3] A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; [4] A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; [5] A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; [6] A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; [7] A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; [8] A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.  Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 It's one of my favorite books in the bible (E

Oh Wretched Woman That I Am

Greetings sisters in Christ! I pray you are safe and standing strong in the Lord today.  We have just weathered a wicked storm with downpour and hail but praise God our van has no leaks...brother Jim did a great job :-) We are working our way back to the land for a short time to meet up with a brother in the Lord, to help him do some modifications in his van, then we are back on the road preaching the gospel. Yesterday while we were out holding signs, (you can read about that HERE ) I saw an older man drive by who looked like my earthly dad.  I had a quick pang of sadness for my earthly parents who claim to be Christians (they are life long Lutherans) yet they HATE the things of God and if they don't repent they will perish.  I've written here on the sisters blog about the MANY times I tried to reason with my mom and brother Jim reached out to my dad many times as well...but to no avail as they choose to remain dead because they love their sins.  It's been many years si

Greetings sisters, I pray you are well today!   We just experienced an amazing example of God's perfect timing.  We rolled into a town for the evening and were going to work online, so Brother Jim went inside to get set up and I was a few minutes behind him, finishing up some things in the van.  I walked in to see brother Jim  talking to a man who said he was going to kill himself tonight.  He admitted he was sinful, had done many bad things and asked if God could love a person like him.  Brother Jim explained how God loved the world and gave His son and continued to share the gospel and hope of eternal life.  This man laid his head on the table, crying, saying he was a broken man.  It was obvious to see he had been drinking and he had some alcohol in his bag but as I looked at this man, talking of being broken, talking of not wanting to be here anymore and looking for hope....I saw myself.   Many years ago that was me...looking for hope in this wretched world but findi

Blessings in the name of the Lord, sisters! I pray you woke up praising our Father this morning.  Satan can distract us the second we open our eyes if we are not careful so let us always remember to have praises on our tongue when a new day dawns. O come, let us sing unto the  Lord : let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. 2  Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. 3  For the  Lord  is a great God, and a great King above all gods. 4  In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. 5  The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. 6  O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the  Lord  our maker. 7  For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice, 8  Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: 9  When y

Greetings sisters, Brother Jim and I really appreciate that verse because it shows how we have to be of one mind in the scriptures.  He's always telling men that there is one God, one bible and there is one body of Christ, there's no reason we cannot be of one mind....if everyone claiming Christ was to rightly divide God's Word and then obey. Sadly we see very little of that but we still rejoice because the Lord is our hope, not man. Set your mind on things above sisters (Colossians 3:2) and put your hope in the Lord. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the  Lord , and whose hope the  Lord  is. (Jeremiah 17:7) I pray you have a joyous day. There is Hope

Hello Sisters! I hope you are all doing well today, standing strong in the Lord.  Speaking of hope, that's what I want to talk about today. That's one of the signs I hold. Throughout the scriptures we see much written on hope and an awesome passage on this is: Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:  By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Romans 5:1-2) There is hope for all of mankind, through faith and repentance; through the Holy Spirit indwelling the repentant believer and through obedience in love we endure until the end.  This is offered to all...but sadly many refuse it.  Either they are deceived or deceiving but either way God holds them accountable.   If they are deceived, it's by the lust of their flesh that springs it... But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. (James 1:14) And look at E
