There is Hope

Hello Sisters!
I hope you are all doing well today, standing strong in the Lord.  Speaking of hope, that's what I want to talk about today.

That's one of the signs I hold.

Throughout the scriptures we see much written on hope and an awesome passage on this is:

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Romans 5:1-2)

There is hope for all of mankind, through faith and repentance; through the Holy Spirit indwelling the repentant believer and through obedience in love we endure until the end.  This is offered to all...but sadly many refuse it.  Either they are deceived or deceiving but either way God holds them accountable.

If they are deceived, it's by the lust of their flesh that springs it...
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. (James 1:14)
And look at Eve in the garden. She was tempted to be like God, knowing good and evil, and therefore allowed her flesh to rule, instead of God's Word.

If they are deceiving, they are propped up by those who want to be deceived:

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears (2 Timothy 4:3)

The deceived are heaping up for themselves the deceiving teachers to itch their ears.  But there was a time that we were deceived, amen?  There was hope for us and there is hope for those of mankind that God has not turned over.
(There are warnings of people being turned over, read Romans 1 and also 2 Thessalonians 2).

When we go out witnessing, we hold on to the hope through the despair of the lost.  Every single time we go out on the streets or stand outside of a man made religious building we have hope because at least one person comes up to talk about the things of God.  (Sometimes a few more). Also, we don't know if a potential sheep saw our signs, read something on the website that exposes the lies being taught and who knows what they are doing with it.

We went to a concert in the park where hundreds of people were sitting there listening to the music and we stood holding our signs on the sidewalk next to them.

Most of them at one point or other looked our way, took pictures, laughed and pointed, made angry faces etc.  BUT we had a few people walk over to talk about the Word of God, praise the Lord.  A  teenage girl asked for a card and took it to her father.  An older man stood and talked for about 20 minutes.  2 elderly widow women asked some questions and received the answers thoughtfully.  One Elderly woman came to encourage us in what we were doing and received the gospel.

I'll admit to you sisters, I had a little flesh killing to do on this witnessing event.  We had just spent the day standing on the street with our signs, then by a big event and were on our way to another event when we came across this music fest.  Brother Jim drove around scouting it out to see if we could stand there and found some open sidewalk.  We parked and started walking over and as we were working our way through the crowd brother Jim looked at me with a look of 'how are you doing?'  I said 'I need just a couple minutes more to toughen my flesh'.  In which I emptied myself of me and my feelings and allowed the Lord to fill me with strength.  It's one thing to stand on a sidewalk and people walk by, or stand beside an event where people are piling in to see but in this case, they were already there, with every eye watching us as we worked our way through them to the open sidewalk.  It only took me a couple minutes and i was ready ....He gives us what we need, right when we need it and not before.

What helps drive me on is being a living sacrifice for the Lord (Romans 12:1-2) by killing my flesh and knowing that there might be a lost sheep that would be encouraged to come out from among them.  I would give my life for that soul, how much easier is it to kill some flesh for them?

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
 (2 Corinthians 6:17)

This is just the beginning, we are set free to be out in the world a lot more now and we pray a lot more sheep will see the light and come to the truth.

Maybe some day we might be witnessing to your son, or daughter, mother or father, sister or cousin.  If we're not, maybe God has someone else from the remnant out there doing so.  In the meantime He is using you to shine His light of hope to the lost, in His way, through a godly woman and her obedience.

Let us all be a living sacrifice and offer that hope to those who are waking up to the truth.

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. (Isaiah 60:1)

Have a joyous day.

Love in Christ,
Sister Deb
