Are You a Nun or Amish or Mennonite or Pentecostal or Muslim or a Gypsy?

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! I pray your day is going well.  We had to bring our van in the shop for some repairs and are blessed to have a table to sit and work. It's rather strange to me because that's our house and it's in the hands of someone else at the moment. We hope all goes well so we can roll down the road as we have a big day lined up tomorrow, Lord willing. While we were sitting here a nun walked in. It made me think of how, over the years, I've been asked if I'm a nun, of the Amish or Mennonite or a Pentecostal or muslim or a gypsy.  (I'm sure you sisters have had similar situations.) It used to bother me because I don't like being associated with such unbiblical groups but I've learned to just roll with it and give out the gospel while the door is open, turning it into a blessing.    There is some liberty with women in how they dress as long as it's biblical. Respecting the Male Authority Headship Order

Greetings sisters in Christ, Let us exalt the Lord in our lives and lift up His holy name. He must increase, but I must decrease. He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. John 3:30-31 How have you been doing sisters?  Have you been examining yourself to make sure you are walking in truth?  Have you asked the Lord to help you see things that your flesh may be blinding you?  We must all constantly do this lest we slowly fall away, unknowingly, into sin and grieve our Father.   And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him Hebrews 5:9 Yes, He is a loving and forgiving Father but we must do our part as well, on a daily basis, in order to continue to receive that love and forgiveness, repenting of all known sin and asking for His help in rooting out what we cannot see. What I'm going to write about is respecting the m

Street Preaching at Mt. Rushmore

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! I pray you are all doing well and striving on in the faith.  We were out witnessing today at a place called Mt. Rushmore; a place where people go to look at a pagan relic of some presidents, giving man glory.   While they were paying tribute to man, we were trying to call them to repentance to give glory to God.  We rejoice because there was a man there that stood and talked to brother Jim for quite a time, then asked if he could video tape us.  I had to edit it to eliminate a lot of immodesty. I did give a few cards out but not many people wanted them.  They were angry for getting called out in their idleness and idolatry.  The good news went out with a call to repentance, the goodness and severity of God.  Praise the Lord it was a hot spot for people and the park personnel even escorted us to the area and were very accommodating.   There were some monks there and brother Jim preached to them on their way by. We plan

The Heavens Declare His Glory

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! This is just a simple post to give God glory through a couple pictures and a video from a sister (in a far away land). They were so beautiful I added scripture verses and wanted to share them with you all.  (She traveled to be a helper to a young mother who is soon to be giving birth, what a joyous thing to do.) May God be Praised! Love in Christ, Sister Deb The biblical gospel... https://www.dontperish.com/the-gospel.html

After Bite...A Good Summertime First Aid Tool

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! I pray you are all standing strong in the truth and not being swayed by the false teachings and philosophies of man. Tonight I'm just doing a quick post on something that has been beneficial to us, it's called After Bite and it's just for what it says.   After something (non poisonous or life threatening) bites you, you can dab some of this on and it helps tremendously!    Let me say here that we don't normally use such things as we pretty much just 'tough it out' but I'm glad I gave it a try when I found it discounted for .75 cents.   Both brother Jim and I were impressed how quickly it stopped the itching of a couple bites we had.    We could have used this in pick up truck loads in Wisconsin when there was a bad year of mosquitoes, but thankfully we don't have to deal with that too much on the road.  We've been witnessing hard out on the streets and are heading to a big tourist place tomorrow, Lord willing,

All Sorts of Things!

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! Praise the Lord for being busy, amen?  Sometimes we are all busier than others as we know there are times and seasons for all things; let's read about it in God's Word. 1To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2  A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 3  A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4  A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5  A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6  A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; 7  A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8  A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. 9  What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he labour

Simple Sewing Substitute

Image
Greetings sister in Christ, I pray you are all strong in the Lord and being obedient, out of love for what our Savior has done. This is a simple keeper of the home tip for those of you who don't know, or knew and never tried it. I don't recommend using it to create full pieces of clothing but it's great for low pressure areas such as hems, minor tears or if you cut part of your sleeves off and have a raw edge to take care of (like I did).  It's awesome to have for those quick fixes that you don't have time to grab a needle and thread or set up the sewing machine and for those of us on the road it's a major blessing! I don't have any experience with other brands except this one.  I'll also say that if you are concerned about perfection, don't bother.  Be careful about having a perfectionist mindset, you can read a post on that HERE .   When I did the arms of a blue button up shirt (I know nothing about materials and what to call them

A Trashy Table

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! Praise the Lord for this day no matter how hot or dusty it is:-)  We are all here to do the works of the Father and glorify Him, that is our reasonable service (Romans 12:1) amen sisters? We have left the campground and all the wonderful witnessing events there, and moved on down the road.  We have a few days of travel before we hit the next proposed destination for what we hope will be an opportunity for street preaching, in a (hopefully) busy tourist town(s).  We shall see and if the Lord wills we will do that.  Otherwise we will go along with whatever comes up and be joyous in it. While we were at the campground (which was a great blessing for me as I needed some extra rest) brother Jim did a lot of walking back and forth to the water spigot and found a table in the garbage.  Yep, he brought it back and we are happy to have such a nice tool:-)  A tool that will become something else in addition to a table. It's light weight and when
