The Slow Slide into Sin

Greetings sisters!
Are you standing strong in the Lord and the power of His might? (Ephesians 6:10)

The battle is on and raging; satan is roaming around seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8) and we see him succeeding left and right, day after day.

Today I want to share with you about the slow slide into sin:-(

We see it all the time.

A woman claiming the name of Christ, saying she is born again, sharing about her transformed life and desiring to walk in holiness and obedience to the Word....until something in her life threatens her comfort and she conforms like a chameleon to her surroundings, and those in it.

These are women who have claimed to be transformed inside through the power of the Holy Spirit and then through obedience, have changed their external appearance and actions.  They are head covered, biblically dressed (not just 'modest' but biblical), claiming to be working on submission to husbands or elders, separated from the world, not clinging to worldly people or disobedient 'proclaimed Christians' etc.

If you are the woman above, then praise God, continue on in obedience to the Word and not your surroundings, false teachings on the internet or the influence of family or spouses etc.  Let me ask you a question though....if someone warned you to 'watch out' because some day you might be the woman who is uncovered, wearing revealing clothing, sitting in front of a tv and participating in the things of the world would you say 'NO WAY, NOT ME!'

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. 1 Corinthians 10:12

Be careful sisters, it can happen to any of us and how it starts is by one tiny little compromise here and one there... the next thing you know, you are that woman in sin saying 'How did that happen?'

I warn you sisters to beware, stand on the truth, don't compromise on one jot or tittle of God's Word lest you slide away like we see happen all the time.

I pray you all stand where you are called, in the faith, in the truth (John 4:24) regardless of whether anyone stands with you or not.  Don't be feeding off others in your life, don't be molding the Word of God to make your life easier...stand for truth or die in sin.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)

Stand strong sisters.

Have a joyous day.

Love in Christ,
Sister Deb
