On the Road Traveling North

Hello Sisters!
We pray you are strong today, standing in His word as your shield against the wiles of the devil.  1 Peter 5:8 he's out there roaming around waiting to devour you when you're weak so keep that armor on Ephesians 6.

Praise God we had 2 days of good travel and work along the way with no accidents nor mishaps and made it to our midway destination before hitting the border of Wisconsin tomorrow, Lord willing. Praise God!

So as we get closer to our 'past' home in Wisconsin we talk about God's perfect timing in all this.  The past couple years we've wanted to have time to set ourselves free from that place up there but something always came up....a lot of orders to carve for our business to support ourselves, someone needed help, the weather turned bad in winter and we headed out down south to work on setting up our off grid place etc.  You all know how it goes when you set out to do something, you have to be patient and just do what you can and be anxious for nothing, amen.

Be careful (anxious) for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be known unto God. Philippians 4:6

So we weren't anxious but simply doing what we could, when we could, trusting that in His timing all things would work out...and they are.  (Thus far anyway).  New circumstances have arisen in the past week that have greived us tremendously and shown us again how those of the world will be cut loose from you as you strive on in holiness for the Lord.  This is good in the eyes of God, even if it hurts our hearts.  Yet we rejoice because it's all His will and we are vessels of clay for Him to mold; His hands are bigger than ours so as we strive on toward things above, we must turn those (who He has removed) over to Him, for His hands are so much more capable than ours.

Onward north we go to set ourselves free from a little bit of the past that holds us there.  A piece of land with memories both good and bad, ties in the mind from those who have chosen to be left behind...freedom awaits us to move forward in one more step.

We rejoice in a saddened way because if the people we knew were serving Christ we would gladly be there to cheer them on and encouarge them in the faith but it is not so, and we must 'go'....preach the gospel as our Lord and Savior instructed.  There are other mothers, brothers, sisters, aunts, friends, children that are lost and need the word and we cannot practice partiality because of fleshly relationships.

We rejoice in a joyous way because we see what is before us!  A field that needs the precious life giving seeds of hope.  We come across many homeless people in our travels; homeless of their choice is what they say, yet we give them the hope of eternal life though the gospel,  a meal and pray to hear from them asking for more of the truth and help to get there.  We see young people being led astray from truth and into New Age and various deceptions but we rejoice because some listen, talk and take in the Words of God.  The elderly, set in their minds, also get the gospel and some are thankful.  The checkout lady, the bagger, the police man and and biker, the fast food worker, the road construction crew, the guy in the park and the lady trying to load her groceries in the trunk all get a gospel tract and encouraging words to seek the truth.  Thousands of people walking along the sidewalks in busy towns, busy intersections and full parking lots see gospel signs calling for repentance and that there is hope.

We are mere workers for the Lord in what we are called to do.  I am blessed to have so many jobs in my past that the Lord uses all my abilities to His glory now... not mine in a big title, big office or miles on a plane.

Now I am 'nobody' to the world, my title is not given to me yet as I will receive that written on a white stone (Revelation 2:17) and my miles are now wracked up in an old cargo van with a mattress in the back.  A simple abode that I love because it's freedom to us:-)

So here we are online after long day of travel, working on ministry to edify the saints we cannot see, all over the world.  Hoping that our efforts will lift the countenance of one who is hurting; strengthen the resolve of one who has been beaten down; encourage one who has been discouraged;  rejoicing with one who rejoices, weeping for those who weep, and just shining a light of hope to anyone seeking.  By sharing our lives and stories we hope to encourage others who are in the same situations, knowing they are not alone.  We all will some day, if we strive on, see eternal life with our Savior and that is why we work hard to encourage the saints to march on!

What a burdensome joy to have such a calling.  It's a burden of sadness for the lost world but joy to have the answer!  The very answer I was looking for those days I was on the edge of leaving this world at my own hand but by God's grace and mercy He saved me from myself and now I am grateful to serve this Awesome God, sharing the precious life giving truth!

I'm rejoicing because Jim and I talked quite a while ago about me finding a way to encourage sisters so I started the videos through our website last year but I never had time to do anything continuous. This year it has worked out for me to have time to do this blog and I'm so encouraged to hear from others that are being encouraged, what an awesome circle of giving!

It helps me grow to pour forth and share the joy, trials, ups and downs of our life in ministry because many of you can relate to much of it I'm sure.

Tonight we are in a fast food place having a cup of coffee and ice water, working online and charging our media to keep us shining the light of truth on the internet.

This is my desk for the evening:-)

Soon we will drive around the corner to our campspot for this cold and rainy night, a parking lot right next to the railroad tracks.  Hey, it's free:-)

That's how we roll, simple and uncomplicated.  Thankful for a dry place to lay our head, even though that pad we are sleeping on is super hard :-)  We have a mattress in Wisconsin we are looking forward to using but until then there is flesh killing we could both use!

I look forward to tomorrow as we have a bit slower pace and I can't wait to see who will get the gospel.  How exciting to be given the honor to carry the precious word of God, to be counted worthy to be the keeper and distributer of it.  We all play a part in the Word going in whether in word or deed, so we must always be ready to give an answer (1 Peter 3:15)

Until next time, have a joyous evening sisters.

Love in Christ,

Sister Deb
