Honey Bees, Grandchildren and a Hail Storm
Greetings sisters!
Praise God for another day to serve Him. We are thankful for each and every one, keeping our eyes set on things above Colossians 3:2 while we go about the work of the Lord and our business here on this earth.
We have just left the Wisconsin homestead and are heading toward our Missouri place and inbetween we will stop and see a brother in the Lord who is being tried by many fires and we hope to encourage Him to continue standing strong!
We were blessed to see 3 of our grandchildren today for a couple hours and while we were picking dandelions...
...we spotted some honey bees so we taught them how God created them (and all things.) Listen close to the beginning our 3 yr old granddaughter is whispering about it...
At one point I was able to speak to the youngest granddaughter 3yrs old, and tell her again that God created the world and everything in it. She stopped and looked up and said... 'How did He create me?"
Little children, with their questions, reveal how truly intelligent they are and are trusting in their answers and it's sad when parents are not of the Lord teaching them the ways of the world but we rejoice whenever we get the chance to speak truth into their lives. We gave our oldest grandson (11 yrs) a gospel tract and he was thankful, our 7 yr old granddaughter saw and asked for one (of which we were going to give her one as well) and then of course the 3 yr old wanted one of her own. We've shared with the parents, the gospel, and warned them of eternal damnation before but gave them a gospel again. The gospel goes out all over.
After that we packed up and hit the road heading toward Missouri when we received a phone call from a man wanting to talk about the things of God so we pulled over at a wayside and while brother Jim was talking to him I made a video and caught him preaching the gospel. I rejoice every time I hear it!
And so we drove on down the road and came by some white rocks laid out in the words Jesus Saves...
Further on down the road we got caught in a pretty nasty storm with hail and lots of rain. The video doesn't show how hard it was to see the road while driving through it, but the Lord brought us safely to the other side.
So we have more work to do on our Wisconsin house but we have learned not to be anxious and to take one day at a time. It looks like we will be doing a lot of travel around Missouri to Wisconsin for the next several weeks between our carving business and the house and inbetween we constantly work on ministry. God certainly keeps us busy.
We are realizing more and more how awesome it will be to be set free from more material possessions. Land, house, stuff, stuff, stuff :-) It's not sinful to have those things but we are finding more freedom without them and more time for the Lord. It seems as soon as the rubber tires hit the road for us to travel God brings people into our path. Just today on our way through a small town after the storm hit, we had to go around a block to get back on the road we were supposed to be on when a young man in an older pickup trick flagged us down. He saw us driving through town and chased us down.
He saw our gospel sign and asked for Jim's testimony on being born again; it was a very interesting conversation stemming from a young man. It's not often that happens! He and brother Jim talked for a while and he left with more info on God's word than before and said we would receive an email from him to discuss some of the topics. We pray to hear from him!
As I type this we are 'fising' at McDonalds for the evening, catching up on ministry articles, testings, videos, audios etc. Pouring out what God's doing in ours and others lives, to encourage the saints. You may be alone where you are but you are not alone, the saints are scattered and we encourage all to keep striving on.
Praise the Lord to be able to carry that precious Word of life! We look forward to who will come into our life tomorrow that needs to hear the truth.
Have a joyous day sisters!
Love in Christ,
Sister Deb

And the other day brother Jim took a quick video of me walking down the sidewalk and just now told me to put this scripture on it to share here:
