Killing the Comfort of the Flesh Pt #2

Greetings sisters!
I hope you are all doing well today!

Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ
Philippians 1:2-6

Hey, just this morning I posted another letter for you about killing the comfort of the flesh and shortly after that we received some pictures from a brother in the Lord.  He's an over the road trucker learning a simple life, working hard to set himself free to become an over the road preacher!

Anyway he sent this picture of his breakfast and was  joyous that he had a table....

It's actually the bumper to his truck.

He's got a bucket for a seat, a bumper for a table and shade from the truck:-)
Then if he turns around he's got a beautiful Texas view with flowers!

He could be complaining that he's working many hours each day, thousands of miles from home but instead he's thanking the Lord for provisions such as this.  He's learning to kill the comfort of his flesh (you can read that letter here: https://titus24sisters.blogspot.com/2019/06/killing-comfort-and-being-set-free-from.html )

This is a brother who has lost a lot lately (even his wife) and then to top it off he went away for training for a few days and when he came home he found his car was in a lot that flooded and totalled it.  He's rejoicing though, as the Lord is paving a new life for him as he keeps moving forward in obedience.
Brother Jim drew this picture for him :-)

We know of some other brothers who are young in age but strong in the Lord who are killing the comfort of their flesh because they live in situations that are very difficult to the Christian life yet they are joyous in the Lord and eagerly look forward to what the Lord will have for them when they are set free and able to 'go and preach the gospel'.

The more you strip away the desire for comforts of the flesh, the less your focus is taken from the Lord.   Amen!

I hope this has encouraged you and let us pray for the godly men and women who are striving in situations that are trying to the flesh.

Have a joyous day sisters.

Love in Christ,
Sister Deb
