Going Into the Lion's Den

Greetings sisters!
Praise God for the opportunity to shine His light to the world for one more day.  We have arrived in a town that is already pitted against us...we were here 2 years ago standing out with gospel signs and the police were called on us. (We did nothing wrong but proclaim the truth.) We were then harrassed by them during our stay even though we were within our 1st amendment rights.  We chose to return because there are people who come to this town from all over the world and what better way to reach the lost than to stand in the middle of them shining the light of truth.  We have some wonderful testimonies of the truth going out then and we are excited to see what will happen this year.  Any time the word of God is send forth, is a great thing.

I've been prepping myself as our travels this year started out later than normal and with everything going on it's sort of set us off what we're used to doing, but that's good, we need to be flexible.  So once we got here, I was ready and then I was excited when brother Jim pulled us into our spot for the night and it was by some trees so we have privacy.  That's a treat for us:-)

As we go out and proclaim the gospel, shining the light of truth, the world hates it just as we are shown in the scriptures.  Matthew 10 and 24 clearly show the hatred of the truth and what will happen to believers when they stand for it.

If we have a wrong focus we will see the despair of the lost people, heading by the droves into the abyss of darkness, weeping and gnashing of teeth but this year, I have been blessed with a peace and joy, something deep within me and if I focus on our Savior and that peace He gave me, then I have a right view and don't get discouraged.  Instead I am rejoicing that His light is shining and who knows what that seed will do to someone walking by, even if it is a mocker at the time, they might be our brother or sister in eternity but we don't get to see the harvest, our Father does.  We have to trust that His will be done and rejoice in that.

We all have our lion's den to deal with and ours happens to be out in the world, yours might be family or friends that hate the truth, the local grocery store where the people aren't friendly to you because of who you are, your neighbors may give you grief, it could be a spouse who is not serving the Lord etc.  We have to remember that the Lord watched over Daniel and He will watch over us as well.

Amen sisters.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.  (2 Corinthians 12:10)

Have a joyous day sisters.

Love in Christ,
Sister Deb
