Immediate Obedience

Greetings Sisters!

If you heard me sing it would sound like noise but it would be joyful:-)  Have you ever had times where your heart was hurting so bad that you shed tears yet your spirit was uplifted and you could smile or make that joyful noise at the same time in thankfulness for what the Lord has done?  That's the awesome peace He can give us in all situations, IF we allow Him.  The problem is that our sinful flesh wants to hold on to whatever it is that's causing the pain, because we think we can do something about it and if we let it go then it means we are giving up and have lost.  But that's not true, if we give up to God whatever is hurting us, then we have put that situation in the best hands possible and have won the battle against our flesh and satan.  We can then move on, praise God!

We've made it to one of our destinations in Wyoming and are thankful for the dry weather and breeze.  The summers out here are nothing compared to anywhere in the US we have been and the never ending view of open sky is awesome. Brother Jim and I were talking, as we were driving up a high foothill of Casper mountain, that with such a vast sky we feel like we are on top of the world, closer to heaven:-)  And one day we shall be there, if we endure in the faith in obedience to His Word, until the end.  Obedience was a word that I rarely heard before being born again but yet it's all throughout the entire bible. Because I loved God and was fearful of Him, I obeyed (and still do) in all things that were revealed to me in the word.  I also had (and still have) an urgency about it because I knew that those who sin willfully will not enter the kingdom of heaven.  If you know something is sin and you continue in it, it's wilfull.

In our ministry we constantly hear (pretty much every day through email, messages or phone calls) 'professed believers' making excuses to defend sin so I wanted to share some encouragement with you that has blessed us.

We know of a young brother who calls sin what it is, immediately obeys and expects others to do so as well.  It's refreshing to hear him bluntly call sin what it is, without making excuses. He's walked a hard road and is still on a rough journey but he encourages us by his perseverance.

Praise God for the obedience of the saints who love God enough to obey immediately.

There are saints out there sisters, who are striving on, pressing through and enduring in the faith.  Let us be one of them!

Amen!

I pray you have a joyous evening and stand strong in the Lord.

Love in Christ,

Sister Deb
