End of a Season, Beginning of Another

Greetings sisters!
Are you standing strong?  Do you thank the Lord for each day?  Do you fill yourself in His Word?

Let us press one another on, through the trials and struggles of this world.  Some days you will be stronger than others, then your day comes and you are weak.  Through Christ we can do all things though.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Philippians 4:8)

We are traveling east across the country and along our journey we have been blessed with the opportunity to have fresh fruits in season.  Peaches happen to be one of the favorites and at this point, the season is almost to an end.  (We got an awesome deal on the last batch here.)

At the end of a harvest season there is a beginning of another.

It makes me think about Ecclesiastes 3.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;  A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;  A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
(verses 1-8)

We have seen many seasons in our life of Christ and the only way we have moved from one to the next is by persevering each day, one at a time. Some were joyous seasons and some were gut wrenching.  There were seasons that were very edifying and others that tore us down.   But the encouragement of the Word of God keeps us going.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. (Galatians 6:9)

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. (Hebrews 10:36)

Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. (Revelation 3:11)

We are in a new season of our life and at this point it is a good one and in it we will fortify our selves because trials will come again.  I can see that each year we are much more prepared for such trials because we are stronger and what would have slowed us down a few years ago, we press on through faster today.  That doesn't mean we don't struggle through them, it means we turn them over to the Lord faster than we used to.  We learned to let go and let God take care of what is out of our hands and it allows us to press on and move forward.

If you are in a season of trial, hold on it will pass.  If you are in a season of no trials and all is going well, don't grow lax, use that time to strengthen yourself for the trials to come.

In all things don't forget the blessed hope that lies ahead...

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.  (Titus 2:13-14)

May God be praised!
Love in Christ,
Sister Deb
