Wicked Wantonness While Witnessing
Greetings sisters,
Praise the Lord for guiding us on the path to eternal life and offering that hope to all mankind.
By letting our light shine into the darkness we will either help people come to truth or it will be to their condemnation as they run into the dark.
I wanted to share about a witnessing experience and how evil hate the light and will do everything possible to stop it. While we were out on a busy street corner holding gospel signs, brother Jim was preaching to the crowd as they were passing by. Of course, as expected, there were mockers of every sort but this time there were some vile young teenage girls, scantily dressed as harlots, who fully knew what they were doing. They were first sitting on the grass close to where we were but then moved to perch themselves on a fence sitting in a manner that exposed themselves. They were making vile and rebellious comments to brother Jim who kept ignoring them. They left and returned a few times, making disgusting and blasphemous comments about God as they walked by. When a man got angry at brother Jim, they jumped right in and encouraged this man's anger, trying to rev up the crowd. It was purely evil, horribly vile and profane.
It was clear that we wrestle not against flesh but of satan and the power he has over those who are his.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12)
Why do I share this vile story? To show you the complete opposite of what God has set in motion, women being quiet, shamefaced and fully covered both in their appearance but also covered by the authority of His Word and any men in their lives.
Being biblically dressed makes the world look at you but the very young, little girls are the ones who intrigue me because God has put it in us to know good and evil and those little girls, (who's mother dressed them like harlots) are fascinated by a fully covered woman and see that as good. Whereas, when they get older (like those young teen girls) it's not good anymore, it's bad.
Do you realize that by being obedient, the world is shown their condemnation just by looking at you and the way you are dressed and covered? By the way you manage your actions and speech? Yes, most people will either make fun of you, sneer, laugh, look disgusted, stare with wonder etc...but there may be a woman that God is working on, that will see this visible truth and be convicted and go seek truth.
That woman was me way in the beginning of my walk in the Lord. I saw a headcovered, dressed woman from a distance and knew instantly I looked like a whore. That night when I got home I was digging in the scriptures and it wasn't long when I found instructions for women and I was changed on the outside.
Stand as a godly light for those little girls, for those vile teenage girls, for the wicked women and it could be to convict them or to their condemnation. Either way God is glorified. That's one thing we are seeing while we are out here is we always want people to be convicted by the word of God because that would be good, but condemnation is also to the glory of God and His glory is Good.
Be thankful to be set free fom the snares of satan and server our awesome God.
Please pray for us that we endure in this calling and we pray for you, knowing the remnant is out there striving.
