Driving and Directions
Good evening sisters in Christ!
Let Psalm 24:1-14 encourage you....
We are driving in and heading through areas that are unfamiliar to us, while traveling town to town sharing the gospel good news.
Brother Jim and I, in our past, had a lot of travel around the United States but this time it's all for the Lord and not for the gain of mammon. Praise God!
While we're driving we need to know how to follow directions....
Let Psalm 24:1-14 encourage you....
Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O Lord.
Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
For thy name's sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.
What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
14 The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

While we're driving we need to know how to follow directions....
...and the laws of each state. The average person will make sure they follow the directions and laws of the road and ordinances of the towns they pass through, how much more should born again believers know the laws and ordinances of God, shown in His Word?
Lately it seems that on almost every walk we take we find a penny in the parking lot. If we had even a penny for every time we heard someone say 'We don't have to do that' or 'Don't be a legalist', we'd have more pennies than we need.
I know, same old thing time and time again, we all hear it don't we? We don't let any of that affect us, we just drive right over those comments and show them the direction they need to go. :-)
Speaking of going....there's a chance we might be going someplace (soon) to stand out and witness at an event that has apparent 'signs and wonders'. We saw the actions of the people who believe this lie and it's not good...it's wicked and evil. The chaos that goes on is amazing and getting worse every day. If the Lord wills we will live, and go shine some truth in that darkness.
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
2 Thessalonians 2:8-12
That's exactly what's going on all over so called 'Christian America' today. Chaos, signs and wonders, blasphemous teaching, vile and profane activities...I have to stop typing this because it's making me sick.
Instead, I like to focus on the shining light of Truth that we get to blast into that darkness. It makes satan angry and he sends his cronies after us but we have the armor of God (Ephesians 6) and the stubbornness from our old selves that has not been stripped away but instead honed for just this purpose. As darkness increases in the land, our light gets brighter and our resolve stronger because we see God's Word coming true.
Each day, Lord willing, we will continue to stand for truth and righteousness until the day the Lord calls us home.
Will you?
Have a joyous day sisters.
Love in Christ,
Sister Deb
