Those Who See Will Come
Greetings sisters!
Once again we are given a day to glorify God.
Once again I have a video of birds:-) They hang out in the trees above the parking lot and clean up any food that hits the ground. Yesterday brother Jim tossed out an old banana and in less than 10 seconds they were all over it, with it being gone in less than a minute. This morning I didn't see any in the area, they were across the parking lot in the trees but within seconds of tossing out some crackers they were all over them.
They are beautiful birds, when the sun hits their feathers it shows all sorts of iridescent colors. It ended up being a bad idea, tossing out the crackers from the door of the van because then when I would open it, they would fly over looking for more:-)
It made me think of how they are ready and watch the whole parking lot, waiting to see if anyone would toss out or leave behind some food. They waited patiently and when they saw it, they knew what it was and went after it.
That's the same for people who are of God, they love the Word and come to it. They know what it is (see it), they know if what is being given out is good (if they test it) and they know to feast on it for spiritual sustenance. There's no coaxing, no begging, no convincing....nope....if they have the light they WILL come. If they are shown sin, they WILL go away and test it to the Word and if they are of God they will repent.
We find that as we walk through this life, people 'see' us as Christians because we obediently dress as God's people, we have a bible out in public, we have God's Word on our van, we are always talking about the things of God and people 'see' that. Those who are being stirred, come to talk to us because they 'see' this evidence. As I was typing this a young man walked up to us and said 'I just saw you yesterday....' He claimed faith in Christ and after brother Jim gave Him the gospel and began to expose the false teachings in man made religion, he turned it to music, because this man said he's a musician for God. I'll stop here and share this...
Yesterday when we saw him, we were watching how he was swaying to music and we both happened to comment to each other how music moves people's flesh. Today when he walked up to us, as brother Jim was sharing, the conversation moved to music and how the New Testament model is no instrumental music. Brother Jim exposed Kanye West (a rap singer who claims the name of Christ but is worldly and carnal) and you should have seen the mans face change when he heard Kanye was not biblical. (Even his friends from a table away turned and looked over, then looked away.) That young man walked away, sat at a table right in front of brother Jim and listened to his music on his earphones, swaying back and forth to his music. He then put his hands together up by his forehead and prayed for a long time. It made me think of the pharisees who prayed on the street corners when Jesus said we are to pray in our closet.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
(Matthew 6:6)
The point is, he 'saw' people of God and came over to talk...we don't know what he will do with that information but we pray he doesn't toss it aside and continue on the wide road to destruction.
I wanted to share this because I want you to understand that those who are seeking the things of God WILL come to the light and they WILL be glad to have their sins exposed so they can repent. If you meet a woman that seems godly and you see fruit of it but she doesn't want to correct her sin when it's revealed to her, stay away as she will infect you.
Sadly we see women swept away in the flesh of longing to be with others, so much so that they overlook sin just to have fellowship. We cannot have fellowship with others who are in sin because true biblical fellowship is over the Word and if someone is in unrepentant sin, they don't want the Word...they want their own way and that's as of witchcraft.
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
(1 Samuel 15:23)
We have been blessed with a simple test to see if others are like minded....if they love the Word, love to be corrected in the Word and be tested, then there could be the chance to work toward unity. Don't just believe someone's testimony and the words coming from their lips, test their fruit.
Stand on the Word of God and don't budge even one little bit lest you be led astray yourself and I pray you all do that. Learn to kill your flesh and live in the Spirit.
