Worn Down but Not Worn Out

Greetings sisters!
Brother Jim and I were taking our walk this morning and we always find pennies and other change in the parking lot and it was no different this morning...we happened to find this one and brother Jim said it would make for a thoughtful post.  It's worn down but not worn out because it still has it's value.

I'm sure many of you can relate to that :-)

We can get worn down in many ways both spiritually and physically but we must remember that the love of our Father has not diminished for us.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:35-39

Nothing can separate us from the love of God, except ourselves in turning away from Him and into unrepentant sin.  That should be encouraging to us because our Father is bigger than all the troubles and trials we will have on this earth and if we endure, we will reap the reward, the crown of life.

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
James 1:12

You may feel worn down, but if you are striving in Christ, you won't be worn out.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Galatians 6:9

We may sometimes feel like that worn down penny, but through Christ, we have His strength to carry on...pressing forward to the mark until we are called home.

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:14

Amen!

Keep marching on sisters.

Love in Christ,
Sister Deb
