You Never Know Who

Greetings sisters!
I want to share some encouragement with you!  I forgot about this story until I was going through my random notes and saw my reminder.

We were in a store needing a bit of help on something and a worker went to get the man who could help us.  As he walked up to us, his demeanor was one that showed he didn't want anything to do with us.  He was standoffish, staring and not very quick to answer any questions.  He had a very effeminate way about him in his mannerisms, speech, attitude, dress and makeup.  When we were done, brother Jim handed him a gospel card and this man broke out in the biggest smile, thanked brother Jim profusely and said he was going to check it out.  He said 'God bless you'.  He then turned to another customer who was waiting.

Brother Jim and I walked away smiling in wonder, thinking that was a very unusual meeting, but one that seemed to be just what needed to happen.  We hope he gets into God's word and allows the Spirit to convict and bring Him to truth.

It makes me think of:

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Isaiah 55:11

God's Word will do what it does and it will accomplish what God wants it to...and we have to remember that.  We always want it to be well received, like that man I just told you about.  Oftentimes it's not but we remind ourselves, it's doing what it's supposed to do. You never know who will receive it, most times it's the least likely person.

Keep marching on sisters.  The word of God is active and going out all over the world through His workers who are scattered.  Let your light shine. (Matthew 5)

Blessings to you.
