Grabbing Garbage and Picking Produce

Greetings sisters in Christ!

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Joshua 1:9

This verse goes along with the post I just did with our Married and in the Word video about trusting in God.  You can see that here: https://titus24sisters.blogspot.com/2020/01/trust-in-lord.html

I have a hodgepodge of various pictures and random stuff to share so I'll just load them all in here :-)

Each morning and evening we take a walk and while doing so, we gather up the carts in the lot and put them in the cart corral.  It adds a dimension to our walk and it keeps the lot clean as a thank you for letting us stay there overnight. One day brother Jim said he'd like one of those garbage grabbers so we could pick up trash, so we got one...

It's a satisfying job and makers our walks are very interesting!

Speaking of interesting, brother Jim spotted this...

A tomato plant in the middle of the parking lot...

If only the professed Christians we meet were this diligent about thriving in the Word!

And on the subject of garden plants, we stopped at a produce stand, yup, in the middle of January there are places that can grow food this time of year! You can see me way back in the corner.

I found a good deal on potatoes for more soup!

On the subject of soup, check this out...

I've been thinking about getting another thermos and happened to find this one at a thrift store for $2.00  And then I saw how much they were full price...

Then later, we found some good quality, discounted bars for $3.00 per box...

Get this, by using my coupon app, we not only got 8 boxes for free, we made .50 cents for buying them!  You can read all about coupon sites and phone apps online and choose what you like to do. No, we don't get deals like this very often but as a keeper at home I'm constantly watching so when something does come up, I'm ready for it.

Yesterday brother Jim had to do some repacking because one of the totes on the roof got water in it and soaked everything.  He said that while he was doing it, he realized that people would think we are beggars because they do such things in hopes that people will stop to offer them money.  It's a humbling thing to have the world look at you like you're a beggar.

We've also been called gypsies (and many other names that I won't add here) but we know we are children of God and He knows all.  God will reward those people for their works.

This is common in our life:

14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:
15 Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.
16 At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.
17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
2 Timothy 4

Praise God, our Father is watching over His people!  Remember that sisters!

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
Isaiah 54:17

Have a joyous evening.
Love to you, in Christ Jesus.
