Are Maxi Skirts Biblical?

We've been asked if long maxi skirts could be biblical so this is just a short post to answer that question.
The term 'maxi skirt' has a few different meanings to it but this post is in reference to the skirts that are of a knit fabric with stretch. The reason the question was asked is because many of them are very immodest so you have to be careful what kind you buy. Oftentimes they are very form fit from the waist to the knees then flow outward by the feet so the only way those would be biblical would be if you wore a very long shirt to cover the form fit area down to the kness. There are, however, others on the market that are very loose and flowing with a generous amount of material to them. Here are a couple examples.
These are not quite as form fitting at the top as the immodest ones but you would still want to wear a long loose shirt over it. One thing you have to look for is if they are see-through. Some are thick enough material that you don't need a slip but there are some that are super thin and would need a slip.
We often get questions asking where I get my clothing from and how a person is supposed to outfit themselves biblically in this sinful world. Sharing this post will help some of you because these are readily available in America and anywhere that Amazon ships. I've also seen many other options on the internet that are affordable as well, around the $20-$30 range. I prefer to pay less at thrift stores but that's not normally an option so if you are needing some clothing and don't find anything in your area, you can purchase a few of these skirts and they will last you a long time. How many skirts do you need anyway?
Also, shirts are key in this because they should be loose and long, well past the waist. How do you find shirts like that? I don't know where you can buy them online because I won't shop for shirts that way because I like to try them on first so I hit thrift stores and buy XL or XXL or XXXL depending on your size, but you want them loose, like a robe. If you can't find big shirts in the woman's department you can shop in the men's department and find very large shirts and adjust the sleeves and length if need be. I don't recommend wearing t-shirt or other clinging material because it shows your form.

Keep in mind that you don't need a lot of clothes. This life in Christ is not like the life we had before when we had a huge closet full of outfits that we chose from each day depending on our mood etc. This life should be one of having some simple clothes that you toss on each day without thinking twice about it.
