God's Creation... Baby Gators and Beautiful Birds

Greetings sisters!
Are you strong in the Lord today?  We just read some encouraging verses that a brother in the Lord posted and I thought I'd share one that really stood out to me.

For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.
Jeremiah 31:25

The article was filled with edifying verses on rest and solitude, of which brother Jim and I were doing  (rest and solitude) after a couple days of intense street witnessing.  Sometimes it can take a couple days to restore after such episodes but we are ready again and on our way to the next venue.  It's another big American favorite in which there will be thousands of people attending.  Lord willing we will be there to proclaim the good news (gospel) of Christ, call people to repentance, be a light for the sheep or a rebuke to those who reject.

You know in your own life that there are times that you are weak and need to rest and restore before being able to face the troubles of the world again.  Make sure you do your best to try to take time to recoup and be strong lest satan overtake you and tear you down.

Today I bring you some smiles and solitude in God's creation.  I've got several different pictures and videos I've been gathering along our trip, praise God He allows us to see such things even while traveling between big busy cities.  I'll tell ya, this state has a LOT of busy cities and sometimes the traffic in-between is just as bad.  (Lots of people here...all over!)

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the creation as much as we do...

I'll start out with the Roseate Spoonbill.  This is my favorite because before we headed this direction I asked if God would let me see a pink bird while we were down here but since we're not here sight seeing it would be difficult because we're in the big cities. We were at the ocean one time for half an hour (I posted that previously) and other than that we've been in the cities doing the work of the Lord.  Well, we're heading north and after a couple events we will be leaving the state and I thought maybe it was already too late but lo and behold, we headed into a smaller town in the center of the state, well away from the coast, and what do we see?  A pink bird as we entered the town! (My pictures didn't turn out very well so here are some to show you what they look like.)

They live by the water, getting their food from it.  Their bill is a spoon shape and they sift side to side through the water looking for shrimp, insects, fish etc.  They are between 2-3 feet in length and up to around 4 lbs. I was humbled and thankful to be able to witness such an amazing creation.
:-)

We saw this little guy walking around a busy parking lot looking for lunch...

I don't know what kind of bird he is but he's cute.  He had bright green legs. (Maybe you can identify it?)

One of the days we were out witnessing, we came back to the van to see these birds sitting on a wire above.  They were pretty high up so it was hard to get a clear picture.

And just today as we were almost to our destination we were blessed to see some baby alligators.

No, we didn't see any alligators in the wild, because we weren't out in the wild, but we hear there are over a million around here.  Another of God's amazing creations.  They act sort of like most of the religious people do, charging at and trying to destroy and devour people (who share the truth of God).

You probably know some people like that in your life...rest assured, God will reward them for their deeds.  Let's pray they repent before then.

I pray you have a peaceful evening and I leave you with encouragement in 'rest'.

1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4
