The Sweet Things in Life

Greetings sisters in Christ!
We are praising God for another day of safe travels and are close to our witnessing destination.  We have strengthened and restored ourselves for another round of spiritual battle.

A wicked man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth his way. There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the Lord. The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the Lord.
Proverbs 21:29-31

We ALL need to make sure we are equipped for the spiritual battle by keeping on our armor. (Ephesians 6)  Satan comes at us everywhere, not just out in the world, as you surely know!

Suit up sisters and be ready!

I thought before we head out into the battlefield tomorrow (which by the time I post this will be today:-) it would be nice to draft a post on sweet things that have been going on in our life and then I can post it when we're done out on the streets.

This should make for a few smiles. A couple of our sweet little grand daughters sent pictures:

We are looking forward to visiting them all in the spring, Lord willing.  If any of you sisters are blessed to be raising children, savor each and every single day as they are fleeting and then gone!

On our walk we saw these hyacinth, one of my favorite flowers!  There were different colors and they all have their own unique sweet smell.

On our travels through the center of the state we learned that there are big sugar cane fields which explains why we keep seeing these sweet sticks in the stores!  That's an interesting subject to look up and learn about.

A couple nights ago we had a sweet smoothie :-)

I went into the Dollar Tree and got a bag of frozen fruit and a can of coconut milk for $2.  We don't make them very often and normally when we do it's just fruit, juice and ice so this was a nice rich treat for us.  (Packed full good nutrients.)

This morning I found a sweet deal on paper bowls!

They were .50 cents a package so we bought what should last us a year!  We're careful about what we use for paper products because the cost can add up fast so this is an awesome find.

Then last night as we were sharing a cup of coffee...

...sitting outside working online...

Hi brother Jim!

...we saw this sweet little bird walking on top of the bushes (about 10 feet from us) looking for dinner.

And best of all...the sweet words of our Father:

8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
Psalm 19:8-14

Added today: We are rejoicing because there were a few people who stopped to talk and I'll share about that in an upcoming post, and we gave away at least 60 gospel cards which is very rare for that many people to want one.  We hope there were those with ears to hear today!

I thought I'd share a video from today so you can see the Word of God going out on the streets.

I'm also putting some in our dontperish.com ministry site if you're interested: https://www.dontperish.com/witnessing-videos

We are pleasantly tired and looking forward to some rest before our next event in a couple days.  Lord willing, if it goes through (it's a big one) I will share with you then.

Blessings to you,
Sister Deb
