Let's Not Become an Accident

Greetings sisters in Christ!
We were driving down the road and came upon the left overs of an accident.

One minute those people were just fine, going wherever they were headed and the next second their world changed.  Thankfully nobody was seriously hurt that we know of, the scene was cleaned up and life went on.  (Apparently there are a lot of accidents on this corner because of a blind hill.) Brother Jim always gives thanks after every trip because we should never take it for granted. With all the miles we drive we see a lot of accidents, or the after effects from them, and I always hope that there were no deaths.

(We saw this in Wyoming in I-80
where they have a lot of accidents.)

Life can change in an instant, are you ready?  Jesus said to watch and pray:

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Matthew 26:41

If we are watching then we are aware but the time we stop is when we are blindsided just like those accidents above.  They probably never thought they'd be in an accident when they left the house in the morning just like a believer never thinks they can be sidetracked off the things of God, but in an instant it can happen.  What we do at that point is pivotal.  We will either get right back on track or be led astray even more.  If we are watching and prepared we will be able to avert the catastrophe or at the very least, head it off as it's happening.

I pray you stand strong on the foundation of Christ then build from there build upon the cornerstone.

14 The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.
15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.
16 The right hand of the Lord is exalted: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.
17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.
18 The Lord hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord:
20 This gate of the Lord, into which the righteous shall enter.
21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.
22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
23 This is the Lord's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:14-24

The Lord is our strength, stand strong in Him. Don't get swept away with the fears of this world because:

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

19 We love him, because he first loved us.
1 John 4:17-19

Perfect love casts out fear.

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Acts 2:46-47

They had gladness and singleness of heart even in the midst of the threat of being killed for their faith...which is coming our way today. Will you still have gladness of heart? Or will you allow yourself to be blindsided and become an accident because you took your focus off Christ?

I leave you with a beautiful picture of God's creation.

Love to all the saints worldwide,
Sister Deb
