Praises for Perfecting Sisters

Greetings sisters in Christ,
I praise you for your obedience and want to share that with you today!

* Praises to you sisters who keep in daily remembrance, the gospel and what Christ has done for us!  By doing this daily, you will give glory to our Savior, strengthen yourself and set your focus for the day and why you are who you are.

* Praises to you sisters who are obedient and submit to their husbands in all things, or strive very hard to do so! (Ephesians 5: 22)
Often we see women who will only go 'so far' but yet keep the power over what they deem necessary, therefore putting a hindrance not only on their own walk but whatever the Lord is doing in the life of her husband. Praises for those of you who strive diligently in this area, enduring through the mishaps that may arise because of it.

* Praises to you sisters who are cultivating a meek and quiet spirit, not only out in public, but at home to those who are there!  (1 Peter 3) Brother Jim and I will be out in public and if we see a family with well behaved children, we like to compliment them.  Oftentimes the parents, thank us, laugh and say that it's not normally that way.  It makes me examine myself to see if I'm acting one way in public and differently at home.

* Praises to you sisters who are sober and shamefaced!  (1 Timothy 2) What a rare gem to see a woman embrace those virtues in a silly, worldly, carnal world that encourages women to be bold and brazen.

* Praises to you sisters who work hard to keep their home!  (Titus 2) There are many aspects to keeping the home (reference Proverbs 31 for examples) and even if you have to work outside the home, praises to those who do their best.

* Praises to you sisters who dress and head cover biblically!  Too often we encounter those who claim Christ and have a 'semblance' of what is closer to biblical dress but they only go so far.  Praises to those of you who stand strong in this area as we are walking billboards of God's commands, holding other claimed sisters to the standards of God's Word.  In a sinful world of ever changing fashion, let us not conform (Romans 12:2)

* Praises to you sisters who do not abuse their theological knowledge of the scriptures.  This is a big one because we constantly see women who want to discuss theology and the depths of it instead of what God has commanded women to be focused on; teaching other women how to be godly women and keepers of the home as in Titus 2.  The silence of a spiritually knowledgeable woman will allow a man to learn much more than with her words. (1 Peter 3)

* Praises to you repentant sisters!  We all fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) but if we repent, He is faithful to forgive us. (1 John 1:9)  Many justify their sins and thus continue to fall further and further away, let that not be named among us.

* Praises to you sisters who are peacemakers!  (Matthew 5) Oftentimes we encounter situations that are a struggle with people and if the situation is not a necessary area in our life and we can let go of our desires in order to keep the peace, let us all do so.

* Praises to you sisters who are standing strong!  (Ephesians 6)  This shows the world that the strength and boldness in a woman does not come through aggressive actions but instead through a meek and quiet spirited woman who is subject to the authority in her life, obediently following the scriptures.

* Praises to you sisters who are lowly and esteem others better than herself! (Philippians 2:3)
In a world of competition, I praise those of you who are not chasing after admiration from others and are instead content with the Lord knowing what you have done.

* Praises to you sisters who are a thankful, humble servant, looking after others.  (Philippians 2:4)
The flesh wants to say 'what about me?' but a godly woman sheds that and looks after others, knowing that God is watching and her reward awaits if she obediently endures until He brings her home.

* Praises to you sisters who love their husbands and children.  (Titus 2)  Love is more than saying 'I do' and appreciating what your husband has to offer for you, love is a decision with action even when times get rough and your children test your patience.  Love is seeing through their issues, knowing that you have been forgiven of yours, you should forgive theirs.  Read 1 Corinthians 13.

* Praises to you older sisters teaching the younger sisters! (Titus 2)
This does not necessarily mean older as in age, it can be older in the Lord as there is always someone younger in the Lord than you.  Praises to those of you who take the time to give of yourselves to the sister saints!

I hope this blesses you and I leave you with this:

Love in Christ,
Sister Deb
