A Refuge
Greetings sisters in Christ!
Before we left to go on the road preaching the gospel we saw a couple awesome sights I wanted to share with you, in reference to a refuge.
First of all, brother Jim looked inside this big kettle that was hanging under the roof of the outside of his shop:
This is what he found...
Sweet little baby birds, in a safe refuge. We stood still and it wasn't long before they were fed and the (male or female whichever it was) cleaned the nest and went back out for more food.
A few days before we found these birds we had a pretty strong storm pass through the area. A few times the rain was flying totally horizontal and the trees were whipping around fiercely. Brother Jim went on the porch to check on something and found this:

The poor little thing must have gotten tossed on our porch and he waited right there until the storm passed a while later. I expanded the video view when I took it so you could see how small he was, hiding by the side of the big oak chair. We were glad he wasn't hurt and went off on his way and happy to offer it a refuge.
Just today we saw some bird houses way up on a hill by the parking lot we're parked at, another refuge.
The birds were flying in and out, going about their business, singing their cheerful songs, just like we should do.
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Matthew 10:29-31
God takes care of His precious birds, how much more will He watch over us?
And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.
Isaiah 4:6
Our Father is our refuge in times of troubles and in the end, if we endure, we will be out from this dark world and with Him forever.
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the Lord.
Psalm 106:48
Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite
Psalm 147:5
As I type this we are sitting in a parking lot with our signs on, by the entrance / exit, working online, waiting to see if the dark clouds will bring rain or clear up and bring sunshine and to see if anyone wants to talk about God's Word. It was no surprise when a man and wife drove up to comment on the gospel signs and brother Jim talked with him for quite some time.
Praise God, let His name be glorified!
Have a joyous day.
Blessings and peace,
Sister Deb
