Let The Children Come to Me
Greetings sisters in Christ,
Today I want to share an audio with you that was made a few years back. I was talking with one of our granddaughters (I think she was 4 at the time) about God's truth and part way into it I thought to record it.
It's so sweet to hear the faith of a child who was not raised in the truth of God's word as her parents are not born again believers. (Our children were grown and gone when we were born again.) She has an older brother that we have been blessed to give much truth, he knows the gospel message and we are thankful to be able to have 'some' communication with them (they live far away) and we keep shining that light. Lord willing, we will visit this summer and have some more time to share with them and their littlest sister who is now 4 and old enough to learn. We pray the seeds go deep and grow within them. This will definitely bring a smile to your face and warm your heart...
I want to go back to her older brother and share a story. When he was about 3 years old, we were teaching him God's word and it stirred up a lot of controversy between his parents and us. At one point they said he was in a grocery cart being pushed by his other grandparents (who are not believers) and he was shouting at the other customers; "Repent and believe in Jesus Christ!" (Maybe someday he'll be a street preacher like his papa -that's what the grandchildren call brother Jim and I'm Nana.) I thought you might enjoy hearing about that:-)
If you are a follower of Christ and have children to raise in the Lord, you are truly blessed. Treasure that precious time sisters.
Have a joyous evening.
Love in Christ to the saints worldwide.
