No Water but There's a Lake!

Greetings sisters in Christ!
Praise God for yet another day. I know I say it all the time but I mean it.  Let us not 'look back' but remember why we are who we are today!  It's all of the Father and what our Savior did. Amen.

We were on a search for water to fill up our washing station and extra jugs but no matter where we went (even the ones listed with having water available), we found none.  We look for complimentary water for customers who purchase from the gas stations but in this area it's slim pickings for such things but we weren't worried.  As we were driving along the highway brother Jim said  'Hey, we can get water from a lake or river.' (We've done it before.) And wouldn't you know it, the town we were going to has a beautiful river and lake going right through it with a nice park by it.

We stopped and filled up with water while praising God for providing for us!

Brother Jim filled up the water jugs, praise God.

You'll notice it's brown water...

Years ago as a child, living in a house without running water (we had running water if we went out to the hand pump and ran it back into the house:-) and oftentimes no electricity, we took baths in the cow crick (with clothing on).  It was murky and had blood suckers in the mucky bottom that would latch on to your feet, but I knew no different and was thankful to bathe.  As I got older and had my own place with running water and modern conveniences, I left all that behind and would never dream of showering in brown water from a lake.  Today, in Christ, none of that matters anymore and instead I'm simply thankful for what I get.  It's amazing how God strips away even the tiniest thing in our life that might hold us back from moving forward.  I'm not saying you all have to do what we do, I'm just sharing how, even when we think we have stripped away a lot of flesh, there's always more to go.  I'm thankful for it as that shows the love of our Father who cares enough to spend the time dissecting us inch by inch to make us more in the likeness of Christ.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Romans 8:28-29

We got a nice surprise while we were there...

It was a peaceful refuge for a short time and we're thankful to be filled up with water once again, a gift from our Father. As we travel from town to town we see the ongoing perfect timing of God, of which we never tire of praising Him for, more to come on that.

I pray that by sharing our journey and what we have learned, experienced and corrected after making mistakes in this walk with Christ, helps a saint that is coming along in the faith.  With us all scattered we cannot replicate what was started in the beginning of the ekklesia but we can do what we can with what we have in the way of communication and offering encouragement and edification.

But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end

Hebrews 3:13-14
