$1.58 Keeper at Home Harvest
Greetings sisters in Christ!
Praise the Lord we have had a chance to reorganize some things in the van (which needs to be done on a regular basis when living tiny) and catch up on some ministry projects.
I don't do much for keeper at home posts because I'm not on a homestead or even in a house so I have less of those chores to do but if I suppose if I thought hard enough I could come up with some posts for tiny house living...such as tools or gadgets I use:-)
Being on the road doesn't allow me to have a garden like some of you are blessed with so I love hearing how your gardens are doing and how you take care of the bounty, good job sisters! The way I harvest is from wise shopping, my phone apps (you can see that post HERE) and surveys. I'm always amazed at how our Father provides for us in so many different ways, one of which is low cost groceries.
Brother Jim said that he was really hungry for a cheeseburger (those are super rare for us) so when I went in the store I saw they had burger on sale and I came out to surprise him:-) I also got a banana, a bunch of plums, pickles, tortilla chips, cheese, kombucha and a half gallon of discounted chocolate milk. (I haven't bought chocolate milk in over a year so that was a treat:-) I got all this for $1.58 and I praise God for the blessings of it.
I used to have great satisfaction of hard work in the garden, processing the harvest and then cooking it...all the while marveling how our Father fed us off just seeds (that grow bounty.) Today I have great satisfaction in working out on the street or online in ministry and then harvesting good deals...bringing my food from afar such as the Proverbs 31 woman, marveling how God provides for us on such little money. The deals don't always go like that but for the most part we live off very little day to day, less than most people would think...all to the glory of our Father in Heaven. He has refined us down and the more we open to His work, the more He refines. It's that way in all aspects of our lives isn't it sisters? The more we run to Him and allow Him to work with us, the more He does.
I'm thankful for my harvest and thankful for your harvests that you are working so hard on. Let's keep that in mind as we go about our daily lives, living for Christ, not compromising for anyone and allowing God to harvest whom He will in the end.
Love in Christ,
Sister Deb
