Leaving a Wicked City and Going into the Mountains
Greetings sisters in Christ!
We pray you all stand strong on the Word and don't compromise, sharpen your swords as the days are evil. We saw a lot of evil while in a wicked tourist town that we've been to before, and it's gotten worse.
I was thinking that it is much like Sodom and Gomorrah that God destroyed...
We have been in many towns around the country and there are some that are definitely more wicked than others, this is one of them. It is not only filled with sexual immorality (including the virtual nakedness of most of the people) but there is much pride (which we know God hates), fullness of bread (they are rich and wealthy fulfilling every fleshly desire), abundance of idleness (they wander around fulfilling the lust of the flesh in eating, drinking, entertainment etc), haughtiness (we saw no humbleness even in those with crippled bodies), committing abominations against the Lord in all these and more.
Yes, that can describe many towns and cities in the world but there are some that are much more, as we see in Sodom and Gomorrah, chosen by God to be wiped out.
This such town is overflowing with new agers, wiccans, hippies, earth worshippers, whatever their title is and normally in a town the mockery isn't nowhere near as bad as this place. It was clear to see much demonic influence and outright hatred of the Word of God.
One man, with pointed teeth and crazy eyes was writhing and squirming as he walked by screaming at the top of his lungs "Hail (expletetive) Satan" over and over all the way down the sidewalk.
A young man across the street kept walking into the intersection to scream at brother Jim to shut up, with curse words intermingled. He later came over on our side and dodged in and out of the stores saying angry things every time he came out.
I had women cursing at me and many of the people driving by shared their hatred in one way or another.
A musician playing on the sidewalk said that he's glad we're here and for brother Jim to keep preaching then later on he was MAD at him for preaching and came over to get in his face and confront him. (You can see that HERE on the discernment blog.)
Some men came up to brother Jim to try to contend for their sins and about those times I had women doing the same thing to me. I was joyous to have been studied to show myself approved and in the end rebuked them for their stances when they kept pushing back. (God is all love, grace, we can't be legalists, just accept Jesus, it doesn't matter what we wear or what we do, Jesus was a friend of sinners, all the typical lies of man made religion.)
There was one woman though out of all the haters...
I watched her walk to a garbage can, pull out a cup half full of a brown looking beverage (probably an iced coffee or something) and drink it. She then looked into another garbage can and pulled out half a sandwich and ate it. All the while she kept watching me hold out gospel cards to people walking by. As I would turn away to face the other side I noticed she would step a few feet closer each time. Finally I saw her sneak up next to me and hold out her hand for a card, of which I gave to her and she smiled and quickly turned and walked away with it. She had odd mannerisms and I don't know if she had a mind of understanding but she heard brother Jim preaching for quite a while and saw what we were doing. She may be one with faith like a child, I don't know but I can hope. Hours later as we were on the other side of the street, I saw her digging through more garbage cans. It made me sad and I looked at the stark difference of all these wealthy, sound minded, haughty people idolizing themselves and scoffing at the gospel good news and here is this older woman of no stature in amongst them, wanting a gospel card.
As we were in the midst of all this wicked worldliness I was given a gift.
It never fails, every time we go out on the streets I see something of God's creation, going about their business like He created them to do, in the midst of the wicked world around them...and it reminds me to do the same. The little thing landed right on my gospel sign:-)
As we were heading back to the van we saw the pagan Roman Catholic church was letting out so we stood on the corner and brother Jim taught about the lies of the church. A woman, in a group of people got really angry and her family had to pull her back from getting in brother Jim's face. She kept at it and they finally got her to move on across the street where they stopped, right by our van. Her and another woman kept going to the back of our van and popping their head from behind, waving at us. (They obviously figured it was our vehicle.) The other woman walked by later and laughed right in my face saying something, not sure what she even said but she was jiggling around and getting in my face like she was possessed or something.
The whole day was filled with such things and although we were glad to be able to shine the light of truth into a dark world, we were also glad to leave it all behind.
We took off down the road, through some mountains and to a town that we will hold up for a few days, catching up on some long awaited ministry projects and restoring before we head into another town like that. (It's known for it's wiccan coven and we've seen the fruit of it the last time we were there....it's dark.)
I thought I'd share a few videos I made as we drove over some of God's amazing landscape and left all that behind.
If you look closely on the left side of the screen you will see a town way down low off the side of the mountain.
I want to share some verses (that I've shared with you before) that I read when we go out on the streets.
And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
Ezekiel 22:30
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
Isaiah 6:8
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Revelation 12:11
Amen.
Praise God that we daughters are counted worthy to be used for His glory. We all have our different roles and all are important in the kingdom of God.
Have a joyous evening sisters, stand strong and march on.
Love in Christ,
Sister Deb

I was thinking that it is much like Sodom and Gomorrah that God destroyed...
Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.
Ezekial 16:49-50We have been in many towns around the country and there are some that are definitely more wicked than others, this is one of them.

Our Father's creation is incredibly beautiful.
I want to share some verses (that I've shared with you before) that I read when we go out on the streets.
6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.
7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
9 Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
Ezekiel 33:6-9And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
Ezekiel 22:30
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
