Witnessing Cody, Wyoming
Greetings sisters in Christ!
I hope you have had a joyous day (or going to have one). We were blessed to be able to witness at a tourist town that is well known in America. As always we walk away seeing how spiritually dead America is, but the truth of God went out.
We woke up this morning to this (rare) view in a free camp spot that we stay at on our way through the area.
God is good as it's refreshing to have peace in the morning before going into the battle. That's not the norm so we greatly appreciate it when we have that opportunity.
As we drove the rest of the way to our destination this is what we saw...
God created such variance in the beauty of this earth, it's too incredible for the human mind to fathom. The wide open spaces out here make you feel small, as we are in comparison to an infinite God.
We are very familiar with this town so that's one less thing to deal with. After brother Jim scouted out what was going on, we hit the streets going from corner to corner, preaching and holding signs. Praise God we hope someone was convicted and seeks truth. Halfway through they day we went back to the van to take a break and break I did...I fell right asleep for a quick nap! I woke up a short while later feeling better and right after that a man and woman walked up to the van to talk about the things of God. They belong to the unbiblical religious organizations so brother Jim showed him the errors of such ways and implored him to seek truth in the bible, not man made religion. They left and back on the streets we went. They have a mock gun fight in this town and brother Jim likes to stand on the opposite corner when everyone is gathered.
They continued to gather until the show started and when the national anthem started brother Jim preached against patriotism and how it's idolatry. (That made quite a few people mad as many people here are patriotic.) After the disgusting show was over, brother Jim rebuked anyone claiming Christ that sat through it and told them to repent and serve a holy God. He then continued to preach as people were leaving. We prefer not to show all the immodesty on camera so we only show glimpses.
One worldly looking woman walked between us and when I offered her a gospel card she smugly exclaimed "I'm a Christian" and kept walking. Brother Jim said "You don't look like it ma'am." That made her mad and she yelled that we are not to judge. Brother Jim corrected her as she hurried across the street. Praise God there were several people who might be sheep, taking gospel cards and reading them while walking away. We rejoice in the Lord as He is worthy and we will be out again tomorrow, providing we live to see the day. We don't share these witnessing events to boast or have any glory, that all belongs to God. We share these so that it may be encouraging to those who are or working toward doing the same and to know that there are always potential sheep out there who don't push back against the truth.
After we got back, brother Jim dropped me off at the door of the store to get a couple things while he parked the van. I saw these flowers and took these for you sisters.
As I came outside I found brother Jim parked out by a tree, so we had privacy. What a nice treat when you're in a parking lot:-)
Speaking of treat, I found a tiny pumpkin pie on discount and a discounted yogurt that I also had a coupon for... all for less than $1. Even when I'm tired I try to do my very best in the keeper of the home job :-)
Brother Jim had coffee with his share and I greatly enjoyed mine, thanking the Father for providing.
During the day brother Jim and I talked about how it's a good day to serve the Lord or a good day to die for Him. Talk about God's perfect timing, a brother wrote about martyrdom and I just happened to read it before we went out today. Very encouraging!
We should make the best and most of every day for the Lord who shed His precious blood for us. Brother Jim is always preaching that and then asks people, what are they doing for Him? Not much by the looks of it but we hope some repent and come to knowledge of this awesome God we serve.
It's a nice cool evening and we are preparing for several more days of this before moving on so we'll be busy for sure. Pray that hearts are softened and minds are open to the truth.
God gave us this to see before bed....
Good night sisters!
Blessings,
Sister Deb

God gave us this to see before bed....
Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
