Greetings sisters in Christ!I pray you are strong in the Lord, in His strength, not your own. I pray that you are forsaking all sin and maturing in His truth. I pray that you are looking forward to the eternal life that awaits you and not clinging to this world.
Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

I shared in the last post that we were busy in some tourist towns that were in close proximity, one of them was a place called Sturgis SD where every year they put in a motorcycle rally for almost 500,000 people that come from all over the nation. (The towns normal population is about 6,900) It's a vile and wicked festival filled with people who dress and act evil and it's even more vile out in the campgrounds, I don't even want to reference that part but I do because I want you to know the kind of people that attend and the 'air' of the event. It's dark, let's just say that. We chose to go early so as to avoid that evilness and shine the light of God's truth. Less than 5 minutes after standing on the corner with our signs and brother Jim preaching, a man walked up to talk. Turns out he has an anabaptist type upbringing and has a respect for God, of some sort. Brother Jim shared much truth with him, he agreed with it and we hope there were seeds planted in that man as he graciously listened to the truth.
We moved from corner to corner and at one point I offered a gospel tract to group of men and women walking by and one woman said 'I'm going the other way'. (Meaning hell.) She's in danger of hellfire and my hands are clean as I tried to offer the hope of eternal life.
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
1 Corinthians 1:18-21
Later a harlot dressed woman came over and was shouting at me that we should go to California by Antifa, Black Lives Matter and the groups that are satanists. I just stared at her as she ranted and told her to repent, then turned away from her. We don't entertain mockers. Later that day in another town, outside a national bull riders rodeo, some women were mocking us, saying we should to go down to the casino to the people there.
So what we have here are: worldly carnal people dressed as harlots, participating in vile, nasty things of the world, loving violence (the bull riding can be violent), loving the world etc...thinking they are better than those at the casino, or Antifa, or BLM or the satan worshippers.
The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Luke 18:11-14
Nope, they will all die and be buried in the earth just like those people they lifted themselves above. They will be judged to eternal hell fire right alongside everyone else....if they don't repent. Just because you have a 'belief' in God means nothing because we know even the demons believe and tremble (James 2:19). We were there to show them they need to repent and come out of the world, be born again and then follow Jesus in holiness and obedience as fruit and then endure in that until their end. American Christianity is a stench in the nostrils of God and we see the product of it, every single day on the streets. God's will be done, those who choose their wickedness will be judged by Him, those who repent have the hope of eternal life.
One woman (who didn't look like the rest of the people there) came up to me and said 'Thank you'. I shared a gospel card with her and encouraged her to go deeper in God's Word because man made religion is not teaching the truth. I showed her the side of the card with the gospel and then flipped it over and showed her where man made religion was lying to people. (She was not dressed biblical so I knew she had much further to go. No I don't bring up dress or any of that at first because it doesn't matter without the gospel.) She agreed that the gospel is what is the foundation and I asked if she was married. She said no and I told her we would be happy to help her go deeper in the truth and to contact us. She thanked me and went on her way.
I shared all this because I wanted to show you the perfect example of how the Spirit of God works. We stood out proclaiming the truth and all those people rejected it, mocked it and hated it but yet there was one man and one woman who were drawn to it. The same message, the masses hate it yet those who might have a spark of the Spirit, are drawn to it.
Praise God to see His power at work in people. We pray they take those seeds and nourish them into a transformed life.
We're headed back to another tourist spot in a couple days for an all day long event and I'm rejoicing because the spot we get to stand has a bench that I can sit down and rest when I need to and yet still hold my signs and hand out cards. AND we talked about fixing up my sign to say something else on the backside. I like my 'New Life in Christ' but I want something a bit stronger so I can rotate it for those women who mock. Like, we're trying to show them new life in Christ but when they reject it, I can spin that part away from them so as I'm not casting God's precious pearls and let them have a rebuke from God's Word. All in the hopes they will repent from their worldliness and wicked ways against a Holy God. Brother Jim did an audio about worldliness, you can listen to it HERE.
As for a keeper at home note, we may be driving by a discount grocery store (dent and bent) tomorrow on our way and I'll share if I find any good deals:-) Oh and by the way, I have a coupon for a free chicken strip meal so brother Jim is pretty excited about that!
