Reaping the Rewards of Patience

Greetings sisters in Christ!

For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:24-25

We are to patiently endure through this life and wait for our redemption.  Amen, what a blessed hope we have and what else could bring more joy than to know that if we are faithful, we will be with our Father in heaven!

We learn much patience out here on the road, dealing with the world in a face to face manner as you sisters too, learn much patience in your own lives!  This post is two fold, one on the patience of us sisters enduring and the other is patience in the flesh while in the world.

That video shows us being passed on the highway by many people and we could certainly be doing their speed (over 70 mph) but we choose to slow down not only for safety but it saves us money.  An average of $4 per hour actually (at the current gas prices) so do the math, with all the driving we do, we save quite a bit of money by being patient.

We can apply that in our daily lives also...being patient saves us stress, amen sisters?  We, in our flesh, have a tendency to want things our way and if we don't get it, we stress out and then all sorts of thoughts creep into our minds and we've just given satan a place to work on us.

Patience goes a long way in a godly woman with a meek and quiet spirit.  Being patient with her husband, can lead to more forgiveness instead of bitterness.  Being patient with children will encourage them to continue to try rather than be discouraged.  Being patient in your job and co-workers will bring you more peace than getting worked up about it all.  Patient in traffic, in line, or with whatever silly things the world commands the population do  (not sin of course) will avoid a lot of stress.  Most of all, being patient with God and allowing Him to do His work in His time in our life and the lives of those we love, enduring through this life (patiently) will allow us to have that peace that our Savior told us about.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.  John 14:27

What an awesome witness we are when the world is impatient and we are peacefully patient.  Amen?!
