Walmart Witnessing and Work

Greetings sisters in Christ!

How is your day going?  We are doing well here, thankful to the Lord, traveling and working.  Yes, I haven't said much about it but brother Jim and I still work, as a team, using our skills from our past office jobs and being mobile as we go. Praise God it allows us to continue to do what we do for the Lord, we are so thankful!!!

This morning a woman drove up to our van while we were still in the Walmart parking lot.  She claimed to be like us (that's what she said), in ministry, yet she said it was in a way nobody knew. (Not sure how that works?)  I got out of the van to give her a gospel card and as soon as she laid eyes on me, her demeanor changed, not for the good.  I spoke to her for a short time and when we saw she was a very contentious woman, I stopped and brother Jim held her hard to God's word.  She tried to talk all over him, saying that her pastor teaches from the bible but when asked if they celebrate Christ-mass she lied and said no, then not really....which means they do.  After several minutes of her arguing brother Jim said "I can see they aren't teaching you the full word of God because godly women are to cover their heads and dress biblical."  (She was a typical woman in makeup, jewelry, unbiblical clothing and sassy mouth.)  She said she wasn't convicted of that and we are to love people where they are.  I gave her John 14:15 and said if we love Jesus we keep his commands.  She reached around behind her and pulled out a gaudy baseball hat, slapped it on her head and said "Here's my headcovering!!!!!"  Then she ripped it off and threw it on her seat.  At one point she said she was sorry she stopped, kept getting madder and defending sin.  Right as brother Jim said 'You need to repent' she looked at me and I said 'Repent ma'am' and walked off.  She huffed and took off out of the parking lot. Lot's of wicked women out here.

What's sad about that is that she told us she is going in to donate a kidney for her brother soon.  She may die in surgery (or any time for that matter) and she was just given a warning to seek truth, was shown much of her error but yet she wanted her own way.  Which was what she also said. "I'm on my own path, I have my own way."  (There's a verse that covers that isn't there?! Proverbs 14:12) She said a lot more but I don't care to get into it all...that gives you an idea of some witnessing that goes on and how stiff necked people can be.  I used to think (in my youth in Christ)  that maybe older people might be more welcoming to the truth because they are closer to dying but they're hearts are no softer than anyone else.  We just plant seeds and move on, which is what we are going to be doing all the way across the state and into another one in a short period of time.  We shall see how that all goes:-)

I also thought that I'd post some more of God's peaceful scenery and creation for you to enjoy:-)

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. Romans 1:20

The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life. Job 33:4

And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands Hebrews 1:10

Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. 2 Corinthians 9:11

Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. 1 Chronicles 16:11

We were blessed to stop at a discount grocery and find some good bargains.  We rejoice in the provisions our Father allows us to have.

Brother Jim found a discounted square piece of cake and I cut it in four so we had a tasty snack 2 days in a row:-)  That's a rare treat for us and we are thankful for small things:-)  Let us rejoice in the day and give thanks unto our Father.  Praise Him for redeeming us as a holy people unto Himself.  Strive on sisters.

You might be encouraged by an update brother Jim did on the teaching blog about some of the witnessing going on. http://spiritandtruthdiscernment.blogspot.com/2020/09/two-arizona-men-couple-atver-and-3.html
