We Remember You Because You Love God!
Greetings sisters in Christ!
Praise the Lord for this day as all good things come from Him!
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17
We were blessed to see 6 of our grandchildren in 2 days:-)
A while ago we sent our picture to them and I said to two of the girls (7 and 5), "we wanted to make sure they don't forget who we are." The youngest said "We remember you because you love God!". What a way to be remembered, how awesome! Our testimony to those young children will be known as the as Papa and Nana who love God:-)
Earlier, the girls wanted me to show them our van again while Papa spent time with our grandson. While we were sitting in there talking, I told them that we don't just drive around for fun, we do it to share the gospel and help people understand the truth. The youngest asked what a gospel was so I explained in 5 year old terms. Her older sister then added that in the garden, that a man and woman ate from the tree of knowledge and they weren't supposed to. Then she remembered Adam and Eve and Satan as the one tricking her. She said if you don't love God and obey Him you go to that naughty place that starts with 'H'. I helped fill in some details and then the little one was climbing out of the van and the discussion halted while I caught her from tumbling out.
At the other grandchildren's a house I had the opportunity to share about rainbows and the promise God made...because there was a beautiful rainbow outside:-)
We enjoyed our visits with them and look forward to more, Lord willing, next spring on our way through the area. I took some pics and videos there that you might enjoy:-)
We admired how God created all the different leaves.
Our 5 yr old grandson drew me (Nana) a picture of a puppy.
And a fish for Papa Jim.
We have God glory for a beautiful sunset.
Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord : and the fruit of the womb is his reward. [4] As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. [5] Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. Psalm 127:3-5
And enjoyed homemade soup...
...and bread the the girls and their mom made.
We found a big 🐸 frog.
And played with glow sticks in the dark:-)
It was a nice treat for us as we only get to see them a couple times each year but try to stay in touch in between. They understand (the older ones) why we left to go do what we do and they respect us for that. They remember us because we love God:-)
We are heading toward new territory for witnessing, we shall see how that goes.
Love, blessings and peace to you all,
Sister Deb
