Pulling Them Out Of The Fire...

Good evening to our sister saints!

Today, all.... day... long brother Jim was messaging a brother, trying to pull him from the fire. (And for the past 2 years on and off.)

Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. [22] And of some have compassion, making a difference: [23] And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. (Jude 1:21-23)

It reminds me of a time before my new life in Christ when I was at a party.  A drunk man staggered into the very large bonfire.  A big man grabbed him by the belt and drug him out...the man rolled right back in.  Back and forth this went on a few times before the big guy tossed him far away from the danger.  I see brother Jim wrestling with scripture with this man, trying to break down his pride and flesh so that the Word and truth of God can do it's work.

We had some travel today which brought us into a town that we plan on being for a couple days...Lord willing there will be some sheep to witness to as there was along the way.  The brother  (and his wife) that Jim is biblically wrestling with, lives not far away and it's sad that unity is so hard to come by because of the wicked flesh.

You really have to battle flesh in these situations, standing strong on the word and not budging one little bit.  It would be much easier to give in a little here and there for unity but then our Lord's Words mean nothing.  If you can't stand on it all, you must discard it all.

We took a break and drove to a park for a walk.

And enjoyed the chilly night air.

I love the night and how peaceful and tranquil it is.

(In parks anyway...not so much in parking lots:-)

Tomorrow is a new day and we shall see what will become of it.  We are joyous in the Lord to have His truth and be be counted worthy to share it.

You might be interested in a teaching brother Jim did about instrumental music (which is one of the fleshly things he was wrestling over with that man.)

Today is the day brother Jim said it was time to let him go on his way, as the man requested that of him. Right after that, brother Jim was encouraging another young brother in California. As we see in Ecclesiastes, there's a time for all things, both good and bad.

We continue to have great joy in the Lord and tomorrow we preach the gospel in the streets.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16)

May peace be with you tonight sisters!

Love in Christ,

Sister Deb
