Rainy Day Thoughts

 Greetings sisters!

I pray you are redeeming the time as our days are disappearing fast aren't they?  I can't believe it's already fall, heading into a more wintry season with lots of cold rain...

...with freezing rain and ice tonight.  It makes for a great challenge in van life, and we all have our challenges don't we sisters?  But we march on, one day at a time, each one passing behind us and maybe another one tomorrow.

Matthew 6:33-34

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. [34] Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

We all endure many trials in our walk in Christ.  My trials may never be yours nor yours mine and yet we surely share some of the same...but we rejoice none the less, because of what Christ has done.

 Romans 15:13

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

I pray we all strive on in spirit and truth, worshiping the Lord with our entire life and standing strong and bold on the Word.

Hebrews 4:11-16

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. [12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. [13] Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. [14] Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. [15] For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. [16] Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

We are huddled up in our van, with our little heaters right next to us, warming our hands and thanking the Lord for allowing us to be partakers of His precious Word, being able to share it with the lost.  The other day brother Jim went to get the van so I didn't get sopping wet (I didn't bring my umbrella and he had his raincoat on) and while waiting in the grocery store lobby I was given an opportunity to witness.  The woman cleaning carts commented on my skirt so I gave her a gospel card and we ended up talking for about 10 minutes.  (How awesome, as I was talking to her, brother Jim text to say he's running to the gas station quick, so it gave me time:-).   She told me her life story as a baptist, lost her husband and son to death in the past couple years and said she has no need of those religious places with people butting into her business. I encouraged her to go deeper than she has and to root out what she's been taught because much of it is lies (we talked about some of them.) We discussed many biblical topics and it was very edifying for me and I pray she goes into God's word for truth.

Were all just travelers here in this land, shining our light and sharing the truth, amen?!

We treated ourselves to a tiny sweet potato pie that we split and topped it with some yogurt.

This time of year makes me really hungry for pumpkin deserts for some reason:+)

I was offered a coupon for a free package of plant based burgers if I filled out a survey on it and we really enjoyed them!  I kept it simple and we ate them plain with a can of corn.

I had to include this picture I took for brother Jim.  I was walking through the produce department and saw these. They smell like lemons, are citrus and they are used for zest in recipes (from what the produce person told me.) God's interesting creation!

Of course I had to go through the floral department as well:-)

1 John 4:13-21

Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. [14] And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. [15] Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. [16] And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. [17] Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. [18] There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. [19] We love him, because he first loved us. [20] If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? [21] And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

Have a joyous day tomorrow sisters!

Grace and peace,

Sister Deb
