A Junky Trailer and Chocolate Muffins
Greetings sisters!
Today is another day to serve the Lord, let us sing praises unto Him for the precious gift set before those who are His.
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. [2] For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: [3] If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. [4] For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. [5] Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. [6] Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: [7] (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) [8] We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. [9] Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. [10] For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
2 Corinthians 5:1-10
We are parked for the evening and I was sitting in the doorway of the van while brother Jim went inside the store to buy an extension cord. There's a storm passing south so I was watching the amazing creation of lightening explode in the sky. It's only a fraction of the magnitude of our Father, just a glimpse into His greatness and capabilities. There are more storms coming so be prepared sisters, He is on our side so we will come out victorious if we press on!
This is our view...
We've been here before and usually we have this corner in peace and quiet. There are some towns where the teenagers get rowdy and it's sometimes a bit unnerving when they're racing their cars by a couple feet from you, but our Father is watching and His will be done. Tonight it should be peaceful though :-)
That trailer has been there for quite a while and if you look closely you can probably see why...
That's how I feel sometimes and I'm sure you do as well! I was in the store earlier and while walking through the bakery, saw these....
I blessed brother Jim by not buying them and he was thankful:-) We do that for each other, not buy things like that. We went from being very active on our homesteads and our carving business to traveling full time so we have cut our diet back on such things and try to be careful overall (without being obsessive). Moderation....that's they key in many areas of life (except sin, no tolerance for sin.)
I saw this little creature on the van one night...
Looks like he was eating bugs off the hood or something? Such soft delicate wings yet he can fly in the wind...awesome creations by our Father.
We are heading out for a mission trip to a place we've been before (which has always been eventful) for some street witnessing. Then we'll head back to the land for a short time and head out for the winter(?) Lord willing, wherever that will be. I had to kill my flesh from my old business management days of being run by a clock and planning everything out for everyone, to being Spirit led in our life to where we may not even know where we will be going tomorrow, let alone a week from now...we're open to it all and are humble thankful servants of a mighty God.
I did a video yesterday while I was walking and talked about the cycle of life and the gospel. Just today, brother Jim made an audio about the gospel and the thief on the cross, you can find it <HERE> What inspiring accounts we get to read and learn from to help us in our walk, only a loving Father would provide that.
Rejoice sisters, we may all be scattered but we are out here. We see people every day coming to some sort of truth (whether or not they take it further, we don't know) but the Holy Spirit is always moving in people. Continue being the obedient daughter of the most High and He will use your life as influence in the world.
Blessed be the name of the Lord. Hold fast sisters and keep encouraging one another as we all need it as the days get darker.
Love from a sister in Christ,
Sister deb
