Religious Roadside Confusion

Good evening sister saints all over the world!!!

Our evening is rainy, how is it by you?

We're all set for the night, cozied up in our van with the little heater going.  We're thankful for the few comforts we do have in this van life and never take them for granted.  Our day was joyous in the Lord as we traveled into a new state.

We haven't been here for a couple years and back then we called out a religious cult.  Literally, they have some creepy things about them, beware of Church of Wells.  You can see a testing on them HERE. I won't go into the all the details but one pertains to the death of a newborn infant among other dangerous things.  After we were there and brother Jim talked to their deacon, we received a wicked, threatening phone call...coincidence?  Anyway, it looks like we may be back in that area again, Lord wiling, and we pray there is a sheep that might come out.  We've been contacted by many people who have either come out or decided not to join because of the testing that shows they are unbiblical.

Our journey today was very nice with sunny cool weather and beautiful skies from our Father who created them.

As we were driving, we saw a lie.

A big building with the words 'Truth Church' on it.  What is the lie?  Well, there's more than one lie just by looking at it.

A big building wasting God's money, man led (not Spirit led) gathering on Sunday, a pagan steeple and the body of Christ is the ekklesia, called out ones (not church); that's just at a glance and should be enough for someone not to go running inside.

And then we saw this.

We know who is behind those signs.  An unbiblical organization called Christian Aid Ministries.  Yes, they do some good deeds, so do the pagan Roman Catholics, the cult of the Mormons, heretical evangelical organizations and the demonic new agers.  We've had personal connection with them and in one instance we were heading through Alabama several years ago and with a 6 hour long,  straight drive ahead of us, brother Jim decided to call them.  Their gospel is just believe and Jesus can make your life better (summarized) and it wasn't long as brother Jim was going over the gospel that they tried to cut him off because it's not what they teach.  Brother Jim began questioning them on their teachings (of which we knew well having studied them for quite some time) and they zeroed in on one of their pet doctrines of which tramples the blood of Christ.  I won't go into all the details but they believe there is at least one sin that Christ's blood does not cover from a pre-converted life.  Meaning, if a person commits this sin as an unbeliever, then repents and becomes a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), that sin is not covered and carries over into their new life. They lie and destroy people with that false teaching.  Anyway, the man got really mad at brother Jim, which is something we're used to by now when the truth goes out and false teachers face it.

This morning I had a slice of humble pie, of which I'll share with you probably tomorrow but for now I'll share a Titus2 moment with you.  I've mentioned before that I have phone apps that save us money and we were blessed to receive a cash back offer on a big turkey breast which made us several meals already and more to come.  Tonight, brother Jim asked for soup.  I normally have several cans on hand for quick meals but we prefer homecooked of course.  (I love to cook:-)  So I sliced up some of that turkey breast, browned it in coconut oil and soy sauce, then added some chopped veggies.

Sprinkled on some seasonings and covered it with water.  After bringing it to a boil, I simmered it for a couple minutes then turned it off for an hour.  The heat cooks itself and saves gas:-)  I have enough fixings for another couple meals.

Then, I made brother Jim happy, I added some dumplings:-)

What a simple comfort food while watching the rain pour down on the windshield, giving thanks to our Father for a warm, dry shelter.

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. [2] I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.  Psalm 91:1-2

Brother Jim got us a treat.

Salted, dark chocolate caramel.  I know we said we bless each other by NOT buying such things but I won't argue if brother Jim does something like this once in a while:-)

Remember sisters, even on the days when there isn't much going on, our every day life lived for the Lord is a grand miracle of His power through a transformed life.  A godly woman living a quiet life for the Lord either in her home taking care of her family or working in the world, is a joyous thing if she is dedicated to the Lord and His ways.

I pray you all strive on and do the work that God has set before you.

Once again I find a little flower plant in an odd area of the parking lot, doing what it's supposed to do, where it was planted.  Let us all do the same:-)

May your days be victorious in the Lord.  Love in Christ,

Sister Deb
