Thankfulness in the Lord
Greetings fellow sisters in Christ!
Let's praise the Lord for all the good things He gives us, especially the hope of eternal life. We can never tire of the excitement of that upcoming event, can we? It's the hope that helps press us on, knowing that the Messiah walked before us, paving the way so that we could follow after Him. That joy and peace inside us is priceless and that is what we want others to have.
And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him ; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. Revelation 4:8
We've arrived at our destination for the next 2 nights and it wasn't long after being here that a man walked up to our van and opened the conversation about the Lord. You can listen to it <HERE>. Brother Jim and I just look at each other after these events occur, and think back on the day and how it lined up perfectly for God's will. He is mighty to save, let us continue on our walk as godly women, doing what is set before us and who knows who will be affected by our works and devotion to our heavenly Father.
And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me. [2] Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. [3] Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. [4] And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. [5] Sing unto the Lord ; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. [6] Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee. Isaiah 12:1-6
We are currently parked in a VERY BUSY lot yet these birds don't care. Brother Jim took this video.
There were hundreds of these birds all along the top of the stores...
They were all over the parking lot eating food and splashing in the puddles.
We miss sitting on our porch and watching birds come to the bird feeder so we appreciate seeing them while we travel, in the middle of busy towns, even though they can be a nuisance in such large numbers. They were taking the food from the parking lot and dipping it in the water before they ate it. Amazing creations.
Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength. [2] Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. Psalm 29:1-2
While many in the world will put on a 'thanksgiving day' tomorrow, not truly giving thanks to the one and only creator God, let us point the way for them that they may have eyes to see some day.
There are many things to be thankful for in this life in Christ, too many to name, amen sisters? All that our Savior has done for us is incomprehensible, while we were yet sinners. Let us continue to press on, in the midst of our trials, just as our Savior showed us how, and let our lights shine in the darkness around us. What a joyous job we have:-)
