Witnessing in the Discount Section

 Greetings sisters in Christ!

I pray your day is going well and that you are striving on in truth! Yesterday we stopped at a park so I could cook lunch and found that it had a nice walking path.

We walked around several laps and each time we encountered a squirrel gathering acorns for the winter.

I have no clue what sort of tree this is but it's certainly unique.

It was nice to see families out walking with their children on such a nice afternoon.  When we were done we headed to our parking spot.

And were blessed to partake of our Father's awesome sunset.

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. [27] For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Galatians 3:26-27

We had some business to do today and along the way we saw these flowers.

Keep in mind it's halfway through November, that's crazy to us who have migrated from the arctic north where frost can kill plants in September.

As usual, in God's timing, we were in the right spot at the right time.  I've told you how I look for opportunities to witness in the stores, well I wasn't looking for this one and it was given to me.  I went in the store while brother Jim did some work on the van and found my way to the discount section.  There was an elderly man taking his time looking at everything and I stood behind him looking at the side, waiting patiently.  As he turned around, he was startled and apologized for taking a long time.  I replied that I was perfectly fine waiting, I wasn't in a hurry and to take his time.  He thanked me and asked if I was having a blessed day?  I replied that I was and asked if he was himself.  He said that every day is blessed in Jesus.  I agreed and pulled out a gospel card.  I asked if he would like it and then explained that brother Jim is a street preacher and would love to hear from him if he had any questions or would like to talk about the things of God.  He asked what affiliation we were and I quickly explained that we belong to no organization and that we came out from man made denominational religion and now follow the full truth in the bible.  He said that he's a minister.  I said that brother Jim could help him out if he'd like to talk to him as the denominational religion is not teaching the truth.  I was trying to politely back off the situation when he added that he was saved through 'Teen Challenge' and I explained that they are unbiblical and my husband has a testing of them on his website.  He wanted to continue talking but I smiled and said it was nice talking to him and I hoped that he would consider going to the website to test himself and that we hoped to hear from him some time.  I told brother Jim that I had to really exercise my restraint because I could have easily refuted all the lies of man made religion but I kept within God's order.

Let me change up the scenario a bit for those of you who don't have a biblical husband.  If I had no biblical headship, nor a website to send him to, I would have shared the gospel card, shared a little bit on how man made religion is lying and then encouraged him to test himself to the word of God.  Pretty simple, then God takes care of the rest.

If you are truly a follower of Christ, born from above through the gospel and living an obedient life, God will use you if you're ready and prepared.  What an encouragement, amen?!

Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: [35] But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. [36] The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:) [37] That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; [38] How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. [39] And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: [40] Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly; [41] Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead. [42] And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. [43] To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. [44] While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

Acts 10:34-44

Brother Jim made an audio teaching called Wheat and Tares Explained:

Praise the Lord for each day.  Strive on sisters and be ready to give an answer for the hope you have.
Love, blessings and peace,
